    I am perplexed on the fact that my bantam roo is able to "reach" my big girls.....but thanks to the pics of "fertilized eggs" my EE eggs are fertile:caf

    Weeeellll, there really isn't one. The sex organs of birds are internal. All it takes is cloaca to cloaca contact.

    Yep... it's called the 'cloacal kiss'. The male touches his opening (cloaca) to the females opening and passes the genetic material to her without any more contact needed.

    Doesn't that sound romantic? [​IMG]

    I am still amazed that this could even take place. He is so "small" and the girls are so big. As big as they could be at 21 weeks. I caught him standing on "her" back with a beek (sp?) full of her head feathers. Then she kicked him off. Who would have thought that chickens could be such fascinating things. I love my chickens [​IMG]
