OK, so I've decided I dislike Earwigs.

EEEW! IN your BED!? Now that takes the cake. I have gotten them in my bathroom frequently. I have a seashell that sits on the counter on a little stand, and I found one living in there

I will be sure to get some orange guard or something.... I So HATE THEM!

I'm so sorry!!! I've never had this big a problem with them before. I would always find them from time to time... they just must be really bad this year. Glad to hear I'm not the only one! O.o

My Aunt had a little bantam hen that followed her into the garden daily, she would pull aside the mulch for the hen to eat the earwigs. Problem solved,

Earwigs are also the highest on my EWWWWW! list of bugs. I am SO glad my chickens love 'em! There's nothing like turning over something in the yard and seeing earwigs, and in the amount of time it takes me to jump back in horror, my feathered saviors are upon them. No earwigs get away.

And then I found out bugs are high in niacin, which is good for chickens. So I feel even better and more justified in ensuring their slaughter when I find earwigs for the chickens.

We had a really wet spring and so the earwig population has exploded around here. They are everywhere! My son was bitten on his toe from one in his muck boot. We go out and roll the rocks for the chickens and they have eaten plenty! They get excited when it's rock rolling time!

Many years ago, when DH and I were just starting out, I was looking for inexpensive items to decorate with. I had a lot of quilts and I wanted an old ladder to hang them on. We found one lying on it's side in a garage full of junk at the house we were renting an apartment in. The landlord told us we could have it. We went out and inspected it and didn't find anything wrong with it and we brought it inside. When we put it up on it's end and banged it into the wall, it was like a horror movie! Earwigs of ALL sizes poured out of every nook and cranny. They were falling like rain on the floor and running for cover. I was screaming and dancing around. DH ran for the vacuum and we spent the rest of the day moving furniture and vacuuming EVERYTHING! We never did get them all and they found a nice home in the kitchen and bathroom.

there was one time that I had gotten my shoes wet so I left them out on theporch to dry, and the next morning, I went to put them on and like bagillions of the earwigs came out of them! The shows were wet and they had crawled in and gotten under the cushion of the shoe so you did not see them at all, I just happen to tap the heel on the ground to get out any rocks that might have been in there when they started coming out. I totally forgot about that till now!! Double EWWWW. Glad I did not put my foot in right away.

Earwigs are pretty nasty, but sometimes good, or at least funny moments, can come of them. We spotted one on the floor once, and my immediate reaction was to run and grab my sister's hamster (hamsters love bugs). I plopped him onto the floor next to the little bug, and he started sniffing it and preparing to attack when... BOING! Up he goes, jumping into the air. Apparently the earwig pinched him on the nose. It was freakin' funny, and my sister was not pleased.

That should make you feel better.
