OKAY admit it who is on site Christmas Day??

Unfortunatly the wind is blowing like crazy - otherwise I'd be outside with the kids playing, I got some neat ski bib's wrapped in a cute little package this am!

This is my first ever white christmas and here I am on BYC!

The chickens keep popping out - they're pretty darn brave! They don't have any wind protection other than IN the coop! The tarp over the run keeps most of the snow out - but now its blowing in sideways!

50 degrees for Christmas??? It's in the mid 20s here!!!

The chickens do get brave with it here too. They came out a bit and went back inside. There is a barn-like building between the coops for easier access FOR me but, at times when they can't come out to the yard I open up the coop door and let them hang out in there. They have protection from wind and snow there too!

(No, not spoiled at ALL!)

I normally have the bantys in the warmer coop and the Standards in the other not so warm coop - in warmer weather. Now, I have them in the one coop that is warmer but since they can't go out ranging I opened the other coop for them to have more room to mingle...

BUT, "Oh looky! A new coop...let's lay some eggs here!" Good thing it's not freezing or their eggs would freeze before they dropped!
Never mind that they have perfectly GOOD nest boxes in the WARMER coop!

BESIDES, why would they make it any easier on me to collect them, huh?

Oh well...I love them.

I'm finally here, and it's taking me forever to catch up on all the posts.
Christmas went well, had a ball with the kids and get togethers, but glad it's finally over and things can get back to normal.

After I finished a mountain of dishes I somehow just fell into my computer chair and am using BYC to re-coop !!!

I'm still here. Only difference from earlier is I'm laying flat out on the couch with the laptop on my stomach trying to squash down the standing rib roast I ate for Christmas dinner.....burp. And the chocolate cream pie....gurgle.

I'm here too. We had our Christmas on Sunday, so Mon and Tue have been very quiet. Just playing with our new "toys". Went to a movie today and now ...here I am again. Merry Christmas!!
