I dont have barred rocks , but would assume about the size of a RIR or Leghorn. Notice how guinea egg is Pointier than the others. I would say your new egg is a new laying hen egg, not guinea

Well, I don't have any new layers, so it's just one of those random wierd eggs. No alligators round these parts, either.

All my layers are just over a year old, and the babies are a LONG time from laying. Maybe it's all the bugs they've been eating lately. It's good to see them out through the yard again.

Yes you can eat a guinea egg and yes they are pointer then chicken eggs and the size of a banty egg. They do have a hard shell
The ones I used to get before the guineas left me for turkeys

were small brown pointy eggs. Hmm I havn't seen them around for awhile now. Crazy birds

Well, this guinea hen just came wandering out of the woods a few weeeks ago and adopted us and our flock. I don't know much about them besides what I googled.
