I tested the egg the other night according to the lady that gave me the egg. She instructed me to place the egg on a counter top and then tap it with the flat of the blade of a kitchen knife. She advised that if the egg begins to wobble that means that the chick awoke or was startled into moving. I tapped and tapped but nothing!
She also advised that the shell would smell if it was not fertile or the chick had died. So far no smell.
If there is going to be one it will be around April 8th if my calculations are correct.
I was at the neighbors yesterday. My neighbor took me to a pen and informed me that If I wanted an Emu I was going to get as many as I could handle while showing me a male sitting on twelve eggs! I said I'd take them and worry about finding homes after ward. LOL
