Okay, I give..... how do you use dye to mark chicks

Yes, I do.

I also use very tiny zip ties and move up to larger zip ties and then velcro rings like TOH.

As tiny as chicken feet are how on earth do you toe punch?

Actually, I have a small pair of surgical scissors, and cut the web out. You do each bird in it's own pattern so each breed has it's own. They make a toe punch tool that punches a small hole, but these can sometimes heal closed, so that is why I cut the webbing instead.

My chicks do not have toe webbing. My goslings and ducklings do. Not my chicks.

you can color chicks before there out of the egg in incubation you can color different breeds differient colors before there out of the egg

TOH = Tuffoldhen

Orpington chickens have huge feet and legs. They grow fast and thick. The velcro is soft and won't constrict or grow into their skin like a zip tie can. You must watch the zip ties VERY closely.
