Okay Male or Female Rouen Duck?

Besides being totally sweet and adorable, we are wondering if "Daisy" should be name "Duke" instead....

Daisy still doesn't quack, only a wispy raspy cheep.

You see that black outline around his bill? That is going to spread, turn black and then turn green.

I got them at a farm supply store and they said they were all females! Now that I have a pair, where do I go from there? lol I don't want babies, I shouldn't even have these 2 in the city. lol Oh, my, Oh, My!

They will only have babies if you don't collect the eggs and let the female set.

I live in a suburban neighborhood and I have 6 ducks

They are beautiful ducks! Keep em and just remember to collect the eggs every day when the hen is laying.

I live smack in the middle of the city....I have 10 ducks...It is allowed here...I collect the eggs every morning..7 female 3 male....

Does the ring around the neck have any significance?

Okay I am laughing about this, but I included another photo of our other duck. Now "she" does quack.... Is she a she?

I would say too early to tell unless you hear a definite difference in quacking.

Though I tend to agree that you might have a drake there.

How old are they?
