Okay! Much debate.. Male or Female Silver Button!?

She doesn't hurt him or anything. No missing neck feathers or wounds.. She seems to "tell him what to do" a lot haha.. Meanwhile Susan and Peepmaster 5000 are the opposite lol!!! Is aspen/pine more expensive than cedar? Not that it matters, just if it is might make sense why this huge bag was only 9.00 at my feed store..

pine shavings I don't believe is expensive. You can even go to Tractor supple and get pelleted bedding for $5.99

40 pounds!

BEFORE I FORGET! Is there any reason you can think of that she might not be laying for??? She gets about 13hrs of sunlight a day, 22% protein in her feed, plenty of water, etc... But I HAVE only had her for 3 weeks...

She is getting used to her new environment OR she has turned to a he. Only time will tell

It's tough with some birds, especially with their behavior!

Well worst comes to worst I give her up and use James as a breeder with a female I get from my current hatch... Prior owner didn't seem to kno much about Buttons... Did feed them good feed, but they were small compared to my 10wk old breeders... Which was sad.. I finally got them nice and filled out and I hope they start laying and give me fertile eggs.

Lilly looks NOTHING like my Silver male. Mine has dark patches around his face, and then a white bib. You can view my picture below to see what I am talking about. He looks much different than yours. I hope your pair gets busy laying for you soon, they are really pretty!

Thats what I figured a silver male looked like... :hmm but I was told color variations can be missing the bibs.. But the prior owner listed in the ad that they were a mated pair that produced eggs. I see no reason WHY she would lie.. Since no one asked about eggs when posting.. BEAUTIFUL male btw!!! <3
