It's not. They are Have-a-Hart. I assume that is the designers name. At least that's what on the traps I see.

The Have-A-Hart trap allows you to release alive something you catch that you don't want to kill. I've released cats and doves.

To those who are recommending drowning the raccoon - do you realize what a horrible death that is? It is not quick, by any stretch of the imagination, not to mention that it takes a long time for the animal to wear itself out trying to get out of the water until it finally has no energy / air left. Drowning an animal is a horrible idea that causes unnecessary and frightening torture of the animal. In the U.S. it is considered animal cruelty, even when done to a wild animal, not to mention an immoral act of hated toward a living, breathing creature. There are many humane ways to dispose of the animal - several of those have been mentioned here - so please do not drown an animal!!

It is very quick. As for the rest...as someone else said... child PLEASE!​

Get a Have-a-Hart trap, bait it, catch the coon/whatever, put the trap in trunk/bed of truck, drive several miles away to a wooded area, take trap out, carefully open trap, smoke a ciggy/read a book, when animal leaves trap retrieve it and start over. Do all this on the Q-T and you should be predator free in no time.

1000 FPS and higher pellet rifle will do the job with two+ pellets. They make pretty quiet pellet rifles.

Also, if possible, try clubbing it. Or you could try shaking the trap and kicking it and just scare the heck out of the animal and it may possibly avoid your place.
