***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Been putting it off as long as possible, but I need to sale a few more of my oriental game fowl before I move. I have one pair of grown large fowl shamo, a few young asil (standard) a pair of saipans I might turn loose of, maybe a few madagascar game. These are all birds I planned on keeping and breeding out of next year, but this move is taking its toll so I need to part with a few. PM if interested and want to know prices etc.

Morning everyone! It is chilly out today... Think it might almost be time to find the box we left our coats in after we moved.

Michael hate that you wasted your time & prob $100 in gas to come home empty handed. Had a guy stand me up in Wichita Falls once, then the next day wanted me to come back. I didn't have many kind words for him after that.

Been asking around, anyone know where we can get 16-20 telephone poles not too far from here? Guessing at least 20 ft tall. I see them on craigslist sometimes, but usually only 1 or 2 poles @ a time.

Mornin' everyone...foggy and chilly this morning...kids are off on the bus, ponies are fed and hayed, and all my birds are free ranging in the fog...lol

They're so funny, when I let them out they follow me around by the pony pen to feed and follow me when I fill the hay mow, then they follow me all the way to the house just a squawking, clucking, and quacking all the time like they're talking to me...quite the racket first time in the morning, but I love it!

Free ranging during the day has worked out wonderfully...you'd think we'd been doing it for years and they always come in to be fed in the evening...so proud of my babies!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day today, thank God it's Friday!

Oh yes! I forgot to brag on my Savanah! She is a border collie that survived the tornado in Joplin and we adopted a few months ago after our family dog died. Anyway, she had wondered free for two months after the tornado and was very thin and in pitiful shape. After several vet visits we have gotten rid of all of the parasites and sickness and she is putting weight on again. She is the best dog I have ever owned. Super patient with children even my grandbaby that climbs all over her, she is house trained and never goes in the house what so ever, she sits, shakes hands, and has never once offered to bother any of my poultry, ponies, or anything else.

Now that you have the background story, let me tell you what happened yesterday...

We are keeping our daughter's dog for awhile and she is an outside dog...anyway she was barking and I looked out the window and there is my neighbor's dog eying my birds!!!

I opened the front door and told Savanah "get him" she lept out the front door to the ground and took off running after him and chased him all the way back to his yard and he and the neighbors other three dogs went running for their house! I was so proud of her! She is really a watchful guardian and protector!

Anyway, I am really proud of her and just had to let everyone know what a great little dog I adopted!

I need to rehome a Black Copper Marans Rooster about 6mths old, anyone interested? He is from Bev Davis/Wade Jean line. I already have one that I'm going to keep. They both look real nice. Your pick of one of the two (first picture is of pullet and roo, roo is on the left). Second pic is the more dominate one. He is reall nice looking except for his tail feathers which are in the process of growing back (he was assaulted by our chesapeaks but is doing fine).

Robin,

Thanks for the pic, they are so cute! I think you may have slate and pearl gray keets, not an expert though, just hatched 21 keets this Spring and have pearl grey, porcelain, and one buff dundotte.

Robin, you definitely have at least one pearl gray. The other two are not slates, but look like what the guinea people call "teddy bear" keets. If they are, they'll feather out just like the pearl grays. It's a little hard to be certain from pics.
