***OKIES in the BYC III ***

here is my young golden phoenix witch i think is showing some promose for only beeing 5 1/2 mounths old

That hen is doing good, got her in quarantine for now, but can't wait to get her banded and in the flock.

Thats a shame, the last time I took the boys out dove hunting they knocked down enough to feed 12 people, of course that was in an un-cut wheat field near stratford with more birds than any of us could count. they make for real good eatin, breast them out wrapped in bacon, and grilled good stuff.

We actually were on uncut wheat...but the whole proverbial, "If you had been here yesterday..." I was looking forward to a grilled breast too! Maybe its time to cull some extra quail roos

Got your PM and responded.... We only get enough dove because the last time we had 4 boys with us and Carl. Of course one of our boys has some how managed to learn how to shoot the shotgun almost as fast as a semiautomatic....LOL

they are an old french breed they are similer to polish but have a diferant body shap and comb but most notisable diferance is that houdans have five toes they are a med size LF getting about 7/8 lbs
