I know what you mean about the deer hunting .. my 14 year old daughter is rearing to go in the morning. she has her feeder up and a camera and has her blind set up and im stuck with this leg still in a full brace and cant walk much ..it breaks my heart that i cant take her as she does love it.. im may try to hobble to the blind with her anyway ,, at least im sure going to try for her...

I dont have any silkies and dont know if i do but i can see they would be a good duel purpose breed as i know they are great for hatching eggs and it looks like they would be great for getting dust bunnies out from under the bed.so i guess they would be worth looking into....

2 silkie hens i have both went broody within 2 months of starting laying, alot easier than incubators, except i can't program when i want them broody...

they are sweet, and are competing for my fav, cochins or silkies..... and then i see other breeds and want to try them!

Man, it's been quiet! I fell asleep on the couch, so apparently I needed some rest. Is everybody sleeping up in prep for the Newcastle show tomorrow?

I'm always hit/miss on the weekends. During the day I spend too much time sitting around doing nothing. Work gets upset if I don't go in, even if there's no work to do.

I actually need to run to the grocery store now that everybody's in bed, but it's so quiet... I don't wanna go. Instead, I'm working on the plans for the mobile super-coop. Finally got a drawing down and got James to understand what I want.

edit to add that I WIN AT THREADKILLING TONIGHT!!!
