Hoping the surgery goes well.

You've just listed several more advantages to women being married. I would hate to be the one faced with going out and dealing with that

Just got in from all the feeding. Our neighbor had a heart attack Saturday night so taking care of their chores as well. DW in bed sick today...so DS and I have the reigns today...wonder what kind of trouble we can get into?

It's still rain here, nice and slow so everything is getting soaked up, really nice. Our creek in the front yard finally has movement in it...

Sorry about your neighbor, very nice of you to take care of things for them! The rain has stopped here. Still cool & overcast.

Hope your wife gets better! She will make you pay if you get in to big of trouble. LOL.

Our rain is slowly disappearing. I DID go back to bed-- got an hour or so of good sleep. DH hasn't had to leave the house until about 7 this wk so I have been getting up with him. Normally he leaves 430-500 so sleeping in has been a nice treat for him-- but been exhausting for me! I never fall asleep beofore 1 no matter how tired I am. So getting up @6 isn't very fun!

I know I need to go check on the birds, but I am putting it off, since there are 4 muddy dogs are waiting out front for me. Maybe they will find something to chase in the woods & I can quietly sneak out soon.

After taking care of the birds this morning, I've been slicing green tomatoes and onions for green tomatoe pickles. They are sitting with salt now to draw out the excess moisture. Before our recent frost warning couldn't see letting all those green tomatoes on the vines go to waste so I stripped everything. Any tomatoe 3/4 inch or larger culd be washed and sliced for the recipe. Looks like I will have at least 5 or 6 pints when it's done.

Carl/Stephanie...did you like them good enough for me to send you the recipe?

Michael-- just remembered got a skunk smell remover recipe from the extension office

1 quart peroxide
1/4cup baking soda
1tablespoon dish soap

Might want to save that for your beagle!
