I'm now hanging out at the south clinic, waiting for my boss to show up. Not too comfortable here... we have orders to be out before dark as there is a known gang war happening in the park across the street at night. Also, the department of mental health has hamstrung us out here because we're not even supposed to carry mace in a facility that receives state funding, so it's just me and one other female counselor out here unarmed (no weapons, no mace) by ourselves and the clients we see here are mostly on probation/parole or recently out of inpatient rehab clinics. I really hate being here. One day I'll take pictures of the "village" we're building on the treatment director's side table out of spent bullet casings that we have found out on the front sidewalk.
I'm half tempted to call James and get him out of bed and have him come up here... as a CLEET certified police officer, he can carry no matter where he's at except federal buildings.

When ever you are ready, let me know. The Proctor Blacks were dropped off here for me to sell for a friend, they are not bad but not to my liking, I can hold onto the young pair of mine for a little while and get them up a little older, they are and have been outside for quite a while, but not finished out for show yet, still too young.
The wheatons I have will do good for you, lets see what you have and go from there.
I won't need to "show" the black till next season. So I am sure we can do something between now & then. I have alittle color in the males chest on the wheaten that I will have to work on.....I will hit you up for tips soon.
If it's a female line male that is very common, as well as if he is over the age of 2, I will set this pair I have asside so if you need him you can take him too, I will also set the young black pair asside for you just in case you need them as well.
If madison decides she wants to show in Shawnee let me know. The boy's are about to start picking thier entries and I have a list of whats ready and in proper condition.
Been running errands & aptointments all day-- catching up
Last nigt I thought I felt a quake when I finished feeding the goats, checked the gov quake site & looks like it was a 3.0-- so don't worry! Those that woke in the middle of the night, your not paranoid, the ground really was moving again!
Tried to take some goat pics, but my camera won't read the memory card-- guess I need a new one. They are playing so much after each feeding, I could spend most of my day watching them trying to jump on the barel & fall back down. They mastered the car ramps & an upside down milk crate, but that is no fun-- they oth just want on top of the barrel! Today i was out so they went almost 8 hours between feedings. They tackled me as soon as I entered with the bottles. Will probably offer them part of another bottle in an hour or so, since they did to so long without eating.
I didn't even check on the birds since I got home.... Guess I am a bad chicken momma today!
Coral, have you set long term goat plans yet? Are you going to keep some kids or sell all of them? Not sure if I want a buck of our own or if we want to take the girls to a breeder. My plan will be to keep a few does & all others to the freezer in 18 months or so if we breed ours. maybe if our meat goats go well we will try milk goats in a few yrs.

have yo considered a 5 gallon bucket with nipples on it, I know they work quite well. The kids will not miss a feeding that way and will be able to eat as often as they would like so long as the bucket has a milk replacer in it.

They actually sell some small self service feeders @ tsc, but i dont want the goats on milk replacer. Heard way too many stories about bad effects of milk replacer, so we are feeding them whole milk. They did ok being alone today & only ate 6 oz each when I got home. When they ate @ 630 this am they both had 8 oz. my girls just came home from school and are going down now to try & feed them again, since they NEVER get to feed their babies & it is no fair that I feed them everytime.
Days when I gone are few & far between, so usually it isn't a problem feeding them every 4 hours during the day @ night they go 6 hours -- I feed around 12 & the kids feed them @6AM.
