***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Sooner,
I hadn't thought about it till now, but the same guy that brough the Blacks over for me to sell, also dropped off two real nice pairs of Spangled either pair will show well even at the OE nationals in december. I can make you or anyone else a pretty good deal on some quality birds for the show season.

HiHo neibors (I miss that show) I got my pickup yesterday from the bodyshop in OKC (500 deductable). Drove it home and went to start it later and battery was dead. It is a 2007 pickup and was probable origanal battery. I guess setting so long was to much for it so it just gave in and quit. Oh well it is only money. Now that I got it back I plan on going to Mary's Fleamarket Sat. and maybe Sunday. Havent set up there since early summer before it got so hot. I will be hauling my normal flea market stuff. Quality knives (custom built and name brands.) Lots of leather items, antiques, misc. and a few CHICKENS. I will be bringing 2 Dom colored 7 month old shamo stags. A trio of Dunn bantam shamo, a few white cornish bantams. A few Madagascar stags and maybe a few others depending on the room. Im not a chicken trader and had realy planned on breeding out of all these birds as I have culled down and sold all I intended to at the auctions. Some of these birds will do very well in the show rooms or breeding pens. Not giving them away, but sure priced less than they are worth. If your out at Mary's look me up. Be great to see some of you I havent got to visit with much for awhile.

Well, Dee and I have done everything I can think of, but there was a chick down/almost dead when I got home from work. More molasses water, fed it a bit, but it had watery clear vomit. Still mostly laying down. Checked the temp twice, replaced the bulb anyway, checked it again... *sigh* It's only affecting the babies, whatever this is. The other 4 teens and the 1 other baby were bright eyed and silkie-tailed, but this one isn't. Shame, because it's the paint baby with the better spots and the head spot. I'm really thinking that maybe this is someone's way of telling me "no silkies". Bah humbug.

Chinese food tonight. I'm stressed, James paid.

I am not having a good day, the nabor decided to bring home a new dog which is part wolf part german shepard, they are never home to feed there animals and i guess the wolf/dog got hungry and came a mile down the rd to my house and killed my big tom and three hen's. I finally get ahold of the nabor and she says well I cant controll her just shoot her the next time you see her on your property.

Your neighbor also needs to pay you for your big tom and the hens, and any other damage that thing did when it came to your property. "Sorry" doesn't cut it.

I'm so sorry.

My thought...use a high power rifle...you could miss dog and hit worthless neighbor. Who actually says something like about one of their animals? I think I would call a law/animal agency and report for abuse to neglected dog...and for loss of your own livestock. I'm a 3-S guy, but for once...it sounds like poor mutt was hungry and doing what hungry dogs do... sorry for your losses

I am so sorry for your lost, I had the same thing happen but more birds were killed and I never saw the dogs.
Actually you can take your them to court for the cost of replacing your birds. Their home owners insurance can pay it. This crap of shoot the dog if you find it in your yard is wrong. They need to be more responsible for their dog, have to hit them where it hurts, in the wallet.
