whats the average time from birth to slaughter= 5 to 6 months depends how big you want them

How big of a pen would I need= well that just depends on how much you want them to move around.

how high does the fence need to be= it can be no more than 3 feet I have always used hog panels and they are like 32 inches..just build them strong..cause they are very smart and if you leave them a chance to get loose they will.

Wayne and Lynn can give more pointers, I would say that I haven't had more than about 15 or 20 in my life time
and learn something new with each one.

If anyone needs actual provisions for their poultry the Elgin CO OP is open on Saturday... lol that too could be hopped, skipped, rode, ride or drived to in a few min from the fletcher barn

Your town sounds like Spiro,Everything in town is less than 5 minutes away..

Make that 2.

Might miss dinner, too. We haven't even started setting up chairs and we still have to run through the processing demo.

Ive got a pumkin hen running around here, she is crazy as they come lol. Guess thats why she is a great freeranger. She is either 1/2 hatch/pumpkin or pure pumpkin I cant remember. The stag I got with her was something special though He was 1/2 pumpkin and 1/2 hatch also, broke my heart when a dog got him. He was a no nonsense stag and would take the bully's on I got running around here (2 guineas, the male is a chicken fighter). He was a great looking stag to, need a few paychecks under my belt so I can replace him and hte frost grey I lost.
