***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We do inspections for insurance companies. It's just part time usually Gary and I share the jobs whichever one of us has time. We keep them even when he has an electrical job b/c he gets laid off a lot, so it's something he can fall back on.

Glad you are okay. Glad you had a rescuer that was on the job!

Problem with pepperspray, it's never where you need it when you are in a hurry. Also, less expensive but just as effective it the long range hornet spray can.

One of the guys I work w/ who is a reserve officer said the K9 officer told him pepper spray doesn't work on dogs. Does hornet spray work on dogs? What does it do to them? It would be hard to have it on a belt loop. I'll have to look up options for sure.

I wasn't the only one it attacked today, it went after a school girl that lived in the area too. The officer told me she barely made it through her front door when the dog lunged and hit the door leaving marks and was still trying to push through the door to get the girl.

Kass- We just got back from the store in Okmulgee...you're right, really nice ladies own it. Pat was a real pleasure to visit with. We ended up getting two 50lb bags to last us until next week..reasonable though, 20% protein at $13.75. A lot cheaper than the comparable at TSC. Their feed all comes out of McAlester, so at least its home packed and not going to a big box store.

Still looking forward to trying the feed from Harrah though.

I can just see you in uniform with a big cvan of hornet spray hanging off your belt!

I understand not taking anything but you can buy natural stuff that doesn't actually drug you. I found it in the vitamin section & it seems to help me rest alittle better, if you are interested let me know & I will get the name off the bottle.

It is melatonin, it is a natural substance the body makes to both sleep and stay asleep. It works very well for me and Gary, and you aren't groggy or drugged feeling in the morning at all.

Valerian is good too. If you can find sometin with both melatonin and Valarien in it that would be best. If you get the tea it smells like stinky feet though.

I hadn't thought of Valerien....I did buy some Melatonin today. I will give it a try and hope for sleep. 12 year old home at 9.............15 year old home at 11..........19 year old home at 12 or 1am..........then I get to sleep! The other three are over 25 and live on their own so I don't worry about them as much. Just the "ducks" I have to have here and tucked in........Thanks for the input!

Makes them run like heck. It burns a little but they rub it out quickly. It will kill a snake.
