just had a great visit with ol Cowboy and son...we played with birds and swaped a few out...I was able to help him with some male lahores...he advised the demise of a couple...and now I have madagascars! roaches and chickens!

Ksane here is a pic of one of our bantams. People will argue that they can not be bantams because of their size but when the large fowl are huge then the bantams will be too. Ours will weigh 6-8 pounds at full maturity but as you know they don't look that heavy until they are handled.

There are a couple of sites that I like to visit, one is the site for the German Malay Club and the other is the Asian Gamefowl Society. The latter has good descriptions of the different breeds along with pics.

Despite the losses of our blue chicks to a 'coon we still have quite a few in our big grow out pen waiting to get old enough to be sexed with 100% certainty.

There is a lady by the name of Julia Keeling that has written a book or two on the Shamos, she is pretty much considered an expert on the breed and if you run across Shamolady on any of the boards chances are it is Julia. Her address can be found on the Asian Gamefowl site.
