Here's a pic of some of the chicks I got earlier this fall. Just wondering if any of the experts have any idea what they are. There are 2 BLRW's and 1 bantam wyandotte, I was wondering if the one kind could be orloffs? One doesn't look quite like the other 4, but I thought maybe it was a rooster, since he seems to have a more developed comb. He doesn't seem to have the puffy cheeks like the others though.... I'm at a loss. Any ideas on the gold colored ones? Thanks!
Sorry about the lousy pics... didn't get home before dark and they'd already retired to the hen house. Had to shoot pics in the dark.

Definitely the dark brown with spangled ones are Orloffs. The one you thought was a boy, *is a boy. I don't know what the gold colored ones are.

So do boys not have the feathery cheeks? or is he just a poor example of an orloff roo?

Hi Jeanne!
Glad to see you posting on the thread. Hope things are getting settled down there. Feel for you about the temperature. So far we are having unseasonably warm weather and I am so not complaining about it.
Have you gotten any chickens yet? If so, do tell.
Hope we get to hear from you soon.
Hugs!
Pretty sure the gold ones are buff orpingtons and the "boy" speckeled one isa Speckeled sussex. The other three do look like orlofts but since they develope slower its hard to say the sex yet. All are good looking birds! Congrats on a nice flock.
