North or South?? I know there is one that is in Del City that I had planned to stop at but didn't know about that one.

So far my mentor hasn't had to worry about mites, hopefully I will be so lucky. His bee were very active yesterday as it was a nice day, it was great seeing them up close & personal.

Nana & Poultryandbees ( I wonder how long this will be our joke) Here is the one that I have found. I haven't been there yet but he is online so you can get an ideal of prices & such.

Start looking now to find someone that can mentor you. It is really difficult to figure out everything you need but is better when you can ask someone or see it in person. If all goes well you will be able to see mine & I might know alittle. Poultry & bee's has been putting up with my questions for a couple of years now.

what you don't realize yet is that I try to be a multi-task enabler - poultry AND bees

With all the interest in bees, we need to recruit one or more bee enthusiasts for the June N. E. O. C. S. to talk/demonstrate/make a static display, or otherwise disseminate information about keeping bees.

Morning Okies!

Well got in late last night from the auction and did not have time to post after getting the newbies settled in the quarantine pen. Saw a lot of BYCers at the auction. Ksane made out like a bad dog with those favorelles. No I did not buy any, have to stay focused on the breeding programs for the spring. Did get a nice trio of black ameraucanas and a beautiful splash wheaten hen with a huge beard. Love bearded ladies I must say.

Maryjo got out of there without buying one chicken,

The restraint was amazing especially since they had the prettiest pair of lemon blue giant cochins there and a bunch of adolescences from that pair. B-E-A utiful!!!! NoCity Boy and his brother acquired that pair for a good price.

to you.

Okay so this is not chicken related but I have had two nights in a row where I slept for 6 hours straight and that almost never happens to me. I feel great! Of course I have taken nitequil because I am getting over this lung crud but two restful nights of sleep feels like a miracle at this point.

Think I am going to take this energy and get some work done. Hope everyone has a great day!

Haha! June, I don't know how one goes about getting that award but my guess is you got it because of your (extreme) generosity in giving away Serama boys and encouraging their use for pets. Channing wants you to know that if he knew how he'd have elected you

And does anyone know what color this is called? Or if it's even a color? He's the Modern Bantam boy I got last night, he came with a Black Birchen girl. Yet one more breed that I'm just fascinated with. I'm assuming this color doesn't come in females?

They got those Cochin babies? Hooray! I'm so glad! That just makes my day. I was hoping they'd leave with some Cochins

I know how hard it was recently when he lost his. That light colored hen you got was so pretty! Glad you got some sleep.
