***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Thanks for the demo Ksane, change is such a challenge for me!

Havinfun I LOVE the feathers on those birds.Long pretty feathers..... I have a weakness for pretty roos, but when they turn mean I loose all weakness quickly!

I know everyone is enjoying the photos, but I have a complaint.... I don't like that the photos now show back up when someone quotes the original poster. My internet isn't slow, but I do have a limit on data each month. I already disable signature lines, and a few other extras. I have never disabled photos, since they are half the fun. People with dial up wont be able to handle the repeat photos.

I know what you mean, I try to edit out the pics and extra text for that exact reason. I was on dial up for many years up until a year ago and I feel your pain. There's nothing more exasperating than 123 lines of quoted text for someone to type "haha" as a response.
lol

Carl, aren't you too young for arthritis? I can't believe how sore my hands get after working outside all day the past year or 2. You must have overworked yourself when you were younger!

I averaged 120 hrs a week for over 10 years, finally decided to slow down. Now I'm paying for every bit of it. I've been on mobic, and other anti-inflamatories since 99 or 2000 it helps but I always know a few days ahead when teh weather is changing.
I've had a lot of broken fingers and minor fractures in hands, damage to knees, back and neck from stupid stuff years ago.

Enjoying seeing everyone's bird pics!

NanaKat - will keep your husband in my prayers.

Since the chicks have hatched I've put medicated chick starter out for the babies. The mama hen is eating it too, I think. Is it OK for her to be eating this?

It's funny to watch her with her chicks. She takes food out of the feeder and drops it for them. They can all reach the food in the feeder, so they're getting plenty to eat, and have been drinking from the chick waterer too. Today I dropped some dried meal worms in the brooder box. The mama went bonkers for them, so the chicks followed her lead. They already know how to play keep-away!

It's fine. The medication is only enough to help control Cocci not actually treat for it. No harm will come to teh hen.

I wouldn't do something I LIKED for 120 hrs a week!

That was a different time and teh money so dang good I never said no.. Didn't mind what I did but didn't love it either it was a means to an end. then the economy started turning south back after the towers went down. a few bad investments, sold part of the business we had. Built another just to watch things slide away and contracts drying up with the economy now.
never seen things this bad, hope I never do again either.
Well it's about time for me to go slide back in bed after my midnight sandwitch, before steph wakes up and figures out I'm not in there.

See you all tomorrow.
