How ya doing???

Hi Everybody!!! Well trying to be productive today before heading to the auction. Did get the coop cleaned out, finally
sickbyc.gif
. So all my girls are starting to lay like gang busters. Getting 6 -10 eggs a day, which for one person that is a bunch of eggs. Well I think Stella and Stanley will probably start getting eggs more regularly. Saves on dog food and keeps them very healthy. It is a bit like Easter Egg hunting. I have chickens laying eggs all over the coop yard.

Located the water lines to the back bathroom to install the shut off valves. I mistakenly bought 1/2 instead of 3/4 " so guess what I will be doing before heading to Blanchard. I so hate when I forget the part I need. Duh!!!

I think Stanley is going to come with me to the auction tonight but Stella is going to stay home. I have the chickens loose and they will not be int the coop before I leave and Stella will keep them safe until I get home tonight. Got to love a good chicken dog. Stanley is still to small to help with guard duty so he gets to come to the auction.

Wanted to tell everyone I have started a new thread in breeds, breeding section on the ameracochin project. It is going to be a kind of chronicle on the process. Still trying to get the genetic chart hammered out and then I will post it. Did not want to take up the Okie thread with it and am hoping to draw some interest and feedback. Still need to take pictures of all the birds so I can post them. I know like I do not have enough to do.

Well better go wash up and get ready to head out. Look forward to see a bunch of BYCers tonight.

I-35 south to Riverwind casino, Travel west on Hwy 9 to first exit (about 4-5 miles) Turn south onto Hwy 62 (Blanchard newcastle exit) Travel south of town of Blanchard about 2 miles (Rodeo Grounds on left side of Rd) turn onto County line Rd. Travel about 1 1/2 miles its on your left.

Thanks for the info NannaKat, we thought about going tonight but it is looking less likely now. We live north of hwy 62 about 6 miles and then between hwy 177 and 102. I was sure hopeing to find a few new feather babies to add to the coop.

Jim,
I have a secret that really helps keep the incubator and hatcher tuned up and ready for use... You ready for this one?
DONT TURN IT OFF.. Those Chicken Seeds need a good start, Na, I wanted some nice young Cock birds for 2012 shows so have not shut off this year, or the year before, or the year before, etc.
