Poco, the baby beards are the cutest thing ever lol Those flat marbles is a great idea for their water.
Cathie, babies are precious! I hatched 8 Cochin babies & ordered 15 Silkie babies from a hatchery last summer and had one of the best times of my life raising them. I'd never paid much attention to baby chicks before and was just fascinated by them.
Sooner, I know how scared you must be about your daughter. She sounds like a perfectionist from things you've said, maybe it's just her bodies way or telling her not to be so hard on herself. I'm certainly hoping for the best.
Jim, when's that Pryor show? I'd sure love to see an elderly gentleman such as yourself having a fit (as you said) but I think it's probably too far for me
I still haven't gotten my 2' heating pad from
Amazon! Supposed to be here today now but I don't hold off much hope. I wanted to make sure I had that before ordering my Dubia. It's already Wed so the Dubia won't ship out til Monday at this point anyway. Dang. I want my bugs! I'm loving these Hissers. I did feed a few of the males to the chickens. My big Cochins & my Silkie bachelors were scared of them
and ran screaming when the bug moved. The Cochins hid in the corner of their pen until I took The Monster Bug away, hilarious. The hens in the laying yard and the Faverolles had no qualms about them though-they loved them! I only need a 1 to 10 ratio of males to females so I still have lots of males. Can't wait to get my Dubia.
Bill, did you get yours?
