That's going to be the best-watered tree in all of Oklahoma haha!

rofl!! Ok, you actually get 2 points for that one, that was good lol!!

We went to Mary's this morning, looks like lots of people buying chicks. Didn't see any birds I had to have (kinda out of room at the moment, lol). Plus need to sell some of the chicks before I go adding to much more. Hopefully I will have chicks coming home from Carl's in a week or two, I think I can hold off that long, lol. We did buy a "guinea catcher" AKA fishing net. DH says it's defective (because we all know it couldn't be the operator that was defective, lol). We also bought a giant wire dog kennel for $25 it folds nice and flat and will make a great cage for auctions or transporting birds. May have to try it out next week when I go buy my additional guineas next week.
Jackson's last basketball game was today so we are finally done with running kids to basketball for a few months. I will be happy to have my weekends back.
Those darn hens must have read my posts because I only got 3 hatching eggs today. But after yesterday I can't complain.
Hope everyone had a great day even with the wind this afternoon.

I just don't trust myself at Mary's or auctions. I keep finding birds I didn't know I wanted at those places.
Cathie, would you believe the guinea I kept as a buddy for my 12yr old guinea is a flippin' GIRL??? I heard that familiar 2-syllable screeching today and went running out there hoping the ones you have didn't find their way home. And here it was the one I kept

. I guess there were 3 girls and 2 boys that I had. Crud. At least this one is considerably quieter than the 2 you took :D

Robin, it would depend on the reason he was fluffed & lethargic, which is so hard to know. Is it one of the new babies? How old is it? Could it have gotten one of the respiratory infections that adults carry and are immune to? Does his breathing sound raspy?

Had a good time at the show today and did quite well for only taking 5 birds in two varieties, Nothing placed below 4th but had BV and RV as well in ckasses of 20+ for birds I'm not real happy with yet I feel better but wil stil push harder.

Have a good evening see some of you tomorrow, been a long day.

That was suposed to be ain't a word.. You used improper Okie that was the real problem.. add an ' befoire the s that will help too.

Next week we will have a lesson in proper use of Okie slang, spelling, and phonetics and begin developing a proper Okie dictionary.

That's too funny! I moved to OK in 2000 from the east coast and I really had a time figuring out Okie-speak. First time I heard 'fixin to' I said you're WHAT?!? My cousin/co-worker said I'm officially Okie back in 2005 when she heard me say "how big a'wide is it? when asking someone the size of something.

Anyway, Hi y'all! I'm fairly new to BYC, see my intro here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/586118/another-okie-new-to-byc

I drop in time to time to look something up and figured I'd better drop in more often since spring is about here and I'm getting 5 red stars from a neighbor in a few weeks. I look forward to hanging around more often!

Going back to read two pages but thought I'd post these pictures first.
A view from Florida trip

Here is an illustration of a "tight wad". The eight Cochins from the Iowa eggsthat hatched this week in Carls equipment. Thank you Carl!.

A little more spread out for viewing pleasure

There is very little room left in the tank for these babies that hatched in late January. Wyandottes and some Cochin crosses. 20 ot these were moved to the floor pen in the barn. Again thanks to Carl for hatching for me.
