Haha! Can't say that too loud in Pittsburg county! I'm with you tho. I got so burnt out on porkchops, catfish, okry and hominy that I have to kill the taste of them all with Tabasco.

Ha im across the line in Hughes Co. just a mile but still ...lol

It's late and the bunny is spazing out, so I think I will go to bed, kinda got a headache. Dakota needs to sell his pigeons(see earlier post!) if anyone is interested PM me. Gnite!!!! Lynn

many breeds have yellow skin and it could have been due to past outcrosses. To keep the look of the NNs they have got to be outcrossed every few generations as they will try to revert back to the old Mad. game type and look but the dead in shell rate goes way up when this happens.

No problems there we outcross them mostly for fun since we don't show. Deann likes her latest creation NN crossed with pure aracona and some feather legged breeds they are very interesting looking. They are naked with beards and boots with the fur.

In South America they cross NNs with the rumpless birds to come up with what is called a Bolo. I found a site years ago where a company in S. America was using NNs as both a food source for villages and extra income but the site as since been shut down. They had an interesting set-up to pasture raise them buy rotating pens around central housing.

Thought about you this evening as their was a pair of peacocks at the auction this evening in Fletcher, and WHOLY MOLY the Fletcher Auction was hoping tonight!

I spent what I didnt spend at POOPs and bought a bunch more birds... made out with Guinea Babies, Turkey babies( like I know I already had 12 hatched out at home and I go and buy ten more...lol),picked up some ducklings, lots o' chick babies and 4 rabbits

to which Jason replied... OH HEY NO, they HAVE GOT TO GO .... I am gonna try and rub at least one off on him... lol

I guess with all these bird purchases we are going have to see the realtor sooner and not later in regards to putting our house up for sale so we can locate a place bigger and more wide openly spaced...

Anyhow it was a great night auction didnt get done till about 8:30-8:45 so all those late drivers from BYC I hope you get a good sleep in...

Jeannie

Matt has she laid any eggs for you yet, she was laying pretty good here. I hope you get some color out of her. I would have kept her but figured you had a color project. You get ready to stop useing her, holler I will take her back.

Just got home from the Fletcher auction, there were a lot of birds some were selling way cheap just not the ones I wanted LOL

I did get weak and buy some Rouen ducklings that will be a nice addition to my future pond flock, I just hope my geese don't treat them the same way they've been treating my chickens, Got to see a few of my favorite BYC'ers there that always makes the auction more fun for me anyway LOL

Buster I'm the same way with cabbage the sight, smell or thought of it just causes me to
