***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I'm home and I have NN's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU Poco, they are gorgeous and I made friends w/ dubias, they went crazy for the dubias.

Heading outside w/ the chicks and the camera will post them later.

Yeah! I'm very glad for you. You will love them!

Hubby just got home with our "new to us" incubator! I can't wait to see it all set up and running but that will have to wait a few days.

Just set that thing where you want it, and pluig it in turn it on and spray it down. It will be ready to use in 48 hours. That was a great unit and still is I'm sure although I haven't seen it in a while.
I still have a big thermometer I used to balance the trays if you need to use it let me know I will set it out with written directions on how to set that unit up.

Kass, and Poco here is a couple of shots of the NNs with the hair dos. They remind me of the big hair in the 60s and beyond. Of course I am just going off pictures, cause no one is that old.

Absolutely Beautiful! If I had a laying flock they would be Ameraucaunas and NNs.

I didn't realize he had Silver Laces, there might've been more than one person with Silver Laces also. I don't recall the auctioneer saying who's eggs they were and I was listening for that, with other eggs from Bo I know they made a point of saying so.
This hatching thing is addicting!!
I think Bo sold a pair of silver laced Cochins last wk. if I remember Okracefan was bidding on them, but the price just kept going & going.

Kass can people see your chickens when they walk or drive by your place? I always get a kick out of people when they ask what is wrong with that chicken? They assume it has been pecked at or is sick, never think that it could actually be made like that.

They are way cute! Cowboy love seeing pics of yours too. I was shocked the other night that there was not a demand on the ones you brought. DD wasn't inside so I didn't have a chance to ask if she wanted them, I was way tempted to bid on them.....

Carla said it didn't hurt but it looked like a good pinch though, He still needs to be picked up every now and then LOL He is my protector in the yard he does a better job than Princess

You made me laugh with this one!

It really didn't hurt, no bruises, see? *lol* Besides, I could tell Goosey was protecting you from the strange woman that just showed up outta' nowhere. The rest of you should have seen the serious stink eye he was giving me! It was funny! I have met guard gooses before, so I kinda knew what to expect but I had to try to say hello to him anyway. He didn't just bite for no reason, I squatted down and held my arm out next to him to see if he was comfortable with me being so close. Evidently not! My SIL's dad had a guard turkey like NanaKat described and we had to stay in the car whenever we went over until he got Tom out of the way. It was always entertaining at the least. The rest of Bill's critters were wonderful, Princess immediately came over and hugged on my legs, one of the goats untied my shoe and the kid is crazy adorable, the ducks showed off their pond, and I got to see the new chick when Bill discovered it... too cute!

And yes, I am Carla too, but since there was already one here before me, I'll go by Carla B. to avoid any confusion.

LOL we already have it all sprayed down with oxine and plugged in. We figured it would take a few days to get it up to running temp. We would love to borrow the thermometer, if you have a good source for one let me know and I will order it tomorrow. Thanks for all the help you have been!!!
