***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Okay, best guesses on who's male???

The only one I KNOW for sure is the white one w/ the big comb.

I suspect the blue one too.

My best guesses are 1, 3, and 6

how do you tell on a black combed bird?

Quote: You are most welcome :) And no worries at all, I'm just glad that you're happy with it and it will be used, I have a cool Nanny goat that's given me a little buckling and hours of entertainment LOL as well as the duckies so I'm good I have a few more of them too if anyone needs one for the same sort of thing I told Monty but I'm thinking he isn't picturing what it really is LOL I guess I could get a bunch of push pins and fill one up with scissors since my last display got a tad damp from setting out in the weather...

Goosey was trying to bite someone???? I just can not believe it. Goosey is always so sweet. See I should have picked him up and loved on him then he would be acting right. I am sorry!
He wasn't trying he was biting,

Carla said it didn't hurt but it looked like a good pinch though, He still needs to be picked up every now and then LOL He is my protector in the yard he does a better job than Princess

You made me laugh with this one!

It really didn't hurt, no bruises, see? *lol* Besides, I could tell Goosey was protecting you from the strange woman that just showed up outta' nowhere. The rest of you should have seen the serious stink eye he was giving me! It was funny! I have met guard gooses before, so I kinda knew what to expect but I had to try to say hello to him anyway. He didn't just bite for no reason, I squatted down and held my arm out next to him to see if he was comfortable with me being so close. Evidently not! My SIL's dad had a guard turkey like NanaKat described and we had to stay in the car whenever we went over until he got Tom out of the way. It was always entertaining at the least. The rest of Bill's critters were wonderful, Princess immediately came over and hugged on my legs, one of the goats untied my shoe and the kid is crazy adorable, the ducks showed off their pond, and I got to see the new chick when Bill discovered it... too cute!

And yes, I am Carla too, but since there was already one here before me, I'll go by Carla B. to avoid any confusion.

After you left I sat down on the wire by where he was standing he promptly sat down in front of me and tucked his head under a wing and went to sleep LOL He is just too precious and that stink eye he was giving needed to have been saved on film it was classic to say the least

It posted twice cause the autoproofreader (or the universe in general) decided it was worth repeating LOL

Looking for young or full grown chickens in the Purcell area. Just let me know what breeds and gender they are and how much if not free.

I keep forgetting about the sales since I get my kids on the weekends.

Christina, one of the 3 Modern Bantam eggs I've got in the incubator has had a crack down the side for a week. We put tape on it, I hope it makes it. The baby is ALIVE in there and after opening one up the other day that I'd (evidently) cracked by accident and seeing how formed the baby was I can't bring myself to put it in the freezer.

try using elmers, have heard of alot of folks being sucessful with it- will have to find the thread

Sam the Blanchard auction is this coming Saturday it starts at 5pm I'll be coming through early I have to meet someone in Chickasha but will be going to the sale after I get that done, I can show you where if you want to go.

Kass, I could be wrong but I only thought #3 was male. The others really don't even have much for wattles. Sooner probably knows better than me though.
Christina, how much you want to bet I'll love the Cochins no matter what they look like?? :) 'Specially those girls!

Wayne, they're gorgeous! I wish I had everyone else's knack for taking care of 30 and 40 chicks at a time.
