Most excellent news!

Just got done with full yard inspection and last minute cleanup for anything that could be blown away or turned into a projectile. We didn't even get a sprinkle yesterday, and right now the clouds are actually broken up enough to see little spots of blue sky. But I'm sure that won't last. Got the 'fraidy-hole stocked and ready just in case. Hope all get through the night safely... specially those out on the roads after the auctions! Be careful!

my apologise to whom ever may hav`e been offended by my earlier post.
was not meant in anyway how it was taken.

guess i need to watch how i say/type things.

For those on here who are teachers. I went to the Appelbaum Training Institute seminar today. It was so much fun. Have any of you been to that or the tic toc training? That's the next class I will be attending next month. Still trying to get this whole teaching down.

Since everyone is posting pictures of iris here's what is growing all around the back of my house.

Very pretty iris - everyone.

Was the seminar one that was at UCO today? I talked to Teach (our BYC member who currently teaches Science in Hardesty) and he was in town for a seminar, was going to the Blanchard auction tonight and then heading back to the Panhandle.

problem is we write one way and folks read in a billion other ways, so we might read it wrong.... i for one enjoy your bantor...:)

Thank you guys for the sale info. I'll eventually learn my way around this site and find all those other good threads. It's nice that you are all so patient with a newcomer.
I have surely gotten hooked on those chicken auctions and really look forward to them.
I, too, have a lot of irises and enjoy them so much. I like the blues, and the ruffles. I was out walking my gardens a while ago and discovered one that is yellow with lavender ruffles. It's absolutely gorgeous. I have light purple that actually smells just like grape koolaid, too. I have many many out there that I don't know what color they are. Last year I had several opportunities to dig up iris beds, but have no idea what colors I was gifted with. It's like Christmas in April! The only flower I might like better are my roses, and mostly just because they bloom longer. And, this is already a banner year for them. Some ladies stopped by here earlier today and were just astounded by the number and colors. I love giving folks the "tour" of my gardens and critters. Things are never in as good a shape as I would wish for, but there are only so many hours in the day and weeds often fall from the top of the list of important things to do, especially when the animals need something or I need to build more pens or cages.
Oh yeah. There is also an iris grower by Shawnee. I have driven by but not stopped in---yet!
