***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Evening folks, haven't been on lately its been so busy around here. My last batch of chicks have the worst so far. They were a mix of broody hatched and incubator hatch and none have done any good. Lost about half already. The prior batch is doing great with hardly any losses.
We finally got a few tenths of an inch of rain. We are getting further behind every week. Garden is slow comming on,hand watering just doesn't match rain water.
Happened to look on the Ky page the other night and a nice young fellar mentioned he wanted to get rid of his partridge rocks. I contacted him and went tuesday to get them. Boy are they nice. About nine months old. I really wasn't wanting another standard breed but they were such a bargain I couldn't resist. Wife and I were planning on heading to Ok. last wed and comming back friday so she could work sat. But I passed a kidney stone tuesday and even tho it felt better afterward as the day wore on I got sicker. By wed morning she had me in ER. Major kidney infection! Thats why I had been feeling so rough for several days. After two shots in the butt and some antiotics I am feeling a lot better but still not 100% yet.Thats the sickest I have felt in a long time!
Sounds like all are ready for a good time at Poops. I don't think anyone has ever went and not had a good time. I am still hoping to be able to come in june but its going to depend on how the wifes work situation turns out.
Everyone have a great rest of the week1

Okie-Doodle Wayne - get better! Take care of yourself - we want you to move back home to OK soon! By the way, congrats on the Partridge Rocks.

Doodle sorry to hear about the trouble with chicks & your kidneys. Kidney stones hurt as much as labor pains. Not something I ever care to repeat!!! Hope ur wife gets things worked out with her career. A nice comfy job in Oklahoma is just what she needs. Sure we don't have any big Amish auctions, but I am sure you could make do with the auctions we do have.

Okay, folks. I'm coming to POOPS and I'm bringing this awesome stroller to trade. (Mega cute baby not included.) The seat is reversible. It can face the handle, like shown, for a younger baby that freaks out if he or she can't see the parent, or it can face out, like a normal stroller for an older baby that likes to see the world. The baggage compartment is HUGE under there. The front wheel can swivel, or you can lock it into place to use it as a jogging stroller. (I personally wouldn't jog with it, because I don't think the wheels are quite big enough for that. It's a Kohlcraft Contours Options and there aren't any recalls affecting this model. I am interested in a frizzle cochin bantam hen, or possibly a silkie, or a regular cochin bantam hen. I would trade for guinea keets. Oh, and a large plastic or wire dog crate. That would be cool also. Basically, PM me if you want the stroller, and let me know what you'd like to trade. Edited to add: The stroller is not four years old yet. Grandma bought it for us when baby was one. He's four now. We were hanging on to all our baby stuff hoping we'd be blessed with another one, but that's probably not going to happen. My eggs have been held longer than two weeks since they were laid, if you get my drift. :D
