The storms could have taken cell towers out and it there is a major interuption of power then even land lines will not work. Just hang in there , they probably just can't check in with you.
thanks les! Vegie- if it helps, can you bring the birds in? i have done that with many of the banties- keep safe praying for you- post traumatic stress from the other tornado you went through is awful! deal with PTSD myself and try to concentrate on good things-what you can do today- ok?
Oh no they are showing pics of a destroyed apt. complex in chickasha. I think it may be my friends but I'm not sure. I will try to call but they only have a land line, no cell.
thank god she just called me and said it went over them and they are ok but the power's out and it hit the other apt. near them and it was the one destroyed, she said she's shaking and was afraid she might have a heart attack and then their sirens started going off again just now she had to get off and back to the bathroom again
an apt. neighbor came by to check on them and said a family was killed in the trailer park near them. they didn't even have time to get the cat in the taxi and she had to just sit on the toilet with a pillow over her head but she heard the roar it was so close by. I'm so thankful they are alive!!!!!!!!
Now we have to wait for the storms to come here. I'm sweating so bad. I was diagnosed with PTSD years ago and I'm not rational when these warnings come, I panic so that's why I'm on here typing to keep me from going nuts from being so scared.
she said the trees are broken and stuff but they are ok in their corner apt. I don't know if any of the rest of their apt. was hit, she's on the end of the complex.
Stillwater has tornado warnings and I think it may have been Clinton that was hit and had the cantelope hail.
It's getting dark here so I'm going to unplug and watch the tv full time now.
Thank you for all your prayers, I do not do well in these storms.....
Starting to look ominous outside, but no rain yet. Having learned from last time when their run flooded, I caught all the quail earlier today and put them up in their coop. Everyone else is either in their coop already or is bright enough to put themselves up as it gets worse. Dogs and kid are inside and the closet under the stairs is ready if we need it.
Ran into Beth (Cityclucks) today at Atwoods while stocking up on bird food. I would have walked right by her, oblivious to the world if she hadn't said my name. We both resisted the temptation of the handful of chicks they had left at half price. I had to remind myself that the brooder is full and so is the incubator.
