***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Here's two of my cochins in their tractor.

And here's my poultry hack of the day. The first time it rained their food got wet. The second time it rained I'd put their food up on the platform in the back and they kicked it over and wasted it all. This big ol' grill top blew up in our yard during a storm a while back, so I wired it up for a rain guard over their feed.

Here's a shot of the roo eating feed under the rainguard. Also, I made a nest box out of a kitty litter bucket. I'm making it my personal project to shock my neighbors with my redneck stuff, I guess.

Hey Kass,
We're you planning on saving any caster seeds? I was wondering because I lost all mine a few moves ago and would love to start over. Let me know. Thanks!
Yes, I will be saving them this year. Just remind me when they are ready to harvest and I'll save you some too, or anyone else who wants some.

Are you getting eggs? May be time to set some!
Yes, have set atleast 10. I gave the first 6 to Jack as his incubators are better than mine. I put 4 in my incubator tonight.

Those are some very pretty Cochins you've got also. You have great taste in birds.

Awesome recycling the grill lid. I wish I had lots of the kitty litter buckets, they are awesome nests.

The Chicken Farmer's Blessing.

- My DH "raised" Traci's Buffs. He is delighted that they went to such a nice home.

Ha! That was one of my very favorite shows when it was on! I :love MacGuyver. I went to POOPS specifically to get bantam Cochins and / or silkies. And thank you. I think they're gorgeous!

I think you guys had been there five minutes or less when I said "Ooooh! Pretty! How much?" :gig I know I was having to tell people all day long "No, I'm not selling them. I just bought them!"
