well the computer at home finally gave it up. not sure if we will replace it since we cant get anything but dialup internet. Think I will weed the garden once it cools off a little. Then see about moving birds since we sold so many last night. Cant wait for the next auction to catch up with everyone.

Brassy Back Betty will have a wonderful life! She is certainly agile and very curious to see what the hand is doing. Those little Buffs are really sweet too. The older ones (4/12) strut around the hand but will take food from it.

Let's see 19 d'Anvers, 8 spangled OEGB, 2 Rosecomb, 7 Buff Columbian, 1 Brassy Back Betty...Bob Bridges really infected me with the Bantam bug when he gave me LilGuy in Janury and you really helped...oh but only one counts as a layer, but she isn't laying now so I really don't have any Bantams....isn't chicken math wonderful

Morning all, just got back from Clinton, had a tire on the pu that came apart. Priced tires for it. Seems that 16 inch tires are rare now. Cheapest ones they sale 200 per. I just need one, maybe I will find a good used one. I hate to put 200 dollar tire on cause would like to trade it for a smaller version, something that gets better than 13 miles per gallon. Like I told Molly, we dont pull horses anymore, dont need a 3/4 ton pu.
Lynn I can relate. I wake up sore, go to bed sore. Take lots of pills inbetween.
Been a crappy week. Lawn mower quit, tire blowed out. My old 80 model ford that I use here on the place to haul stuff from point a to point b hasnt been started in so long battery dead and couldnt jump it last night. Wind blowed so har yesterday broke5 tomatoes off. I had to buy some stakes and spent 2 hours staking mators. Surly it will get better.
Murphy's law...break downs occur at the most inoportune times! One of the arms on the the rake broke yesterday and had to be welded. And then today the big tractor quit and had to be towed home. The boys got the hay raked and baled in spite of the break downs.

And getting older is the pits...medicine makes the world go around, the world go around...oh the original version of that song was Money makes the world go around...but I like my version better

Quote: They are Pot Bellied pigs, at least the mother is the father may be some other kind of small breed pig he is a little bigger than her and has a ton more hair she is hairless by comparison I felt bad for her all winter but she didn't seem to be bothered much by the cold, The babies are just adorable and very hard to catch as I found out this morning LOL
Nope, no room for a piggie here...Red or Gracie would have to go....nope, not looking.

This is Bacon :)

Mitzi - yes they are from Bill! They are hilarious, such little spazzes, but I don't think getting attention will be a problem!
No must resist....cannot have a piggie

Quote: hmmmm...wonder what the human version is called and how much it costs....

Nanakat, like the design!!! Lynn
Thanks...Might get one built this year. Roger calls my big teen pen a homeless shelter. It is temporary until he gets his new barn equipment storage building up. Then I'll know how much space I will have to arrange more outdoor pens. I need to do a "To Scale" drawing next. It really should be 8 x 8 and that would llow for more storage and turn around space...I'm not skinny anymore.

it takes 8 bantam hens to equal 1 chicken anyway.. that is unless it's serama then it's a 16:1 conversion.
