The gardens all needed the rains I'm sure.. but it's really slowing me down today. I feel about twice my actual age today and not real motivated to move, it just doesn't feel good to get up. I had intended to build another A-frame or two today but that will be put on hold yet again. Maybe the boy's can get that done when they get out of school later this week. That will buy me the extra space I need short term and the breeder pens for next year in the long term. wow I cut back and need more pens great math huh.

We have been taking it easy today too....the weather seems to make our joints more sore than usual. Only received 1/4 inch of rain...how about you?

My first pepper harvest of the year, I'm so excited about how well they are doing, especially the bells, b/c I've never had any success w/ the bells. And this isn't even all the different types I planted yet.

Not real sure. I need to get a rain gauge, but it seemed to be enouhg to keep me from having to water until mid week, maybe even til the weekend since we watered last night before the rain started...LOL

Yesterday was a good day at the store, we arent actually open yet. June 2 is our opening day. yesterday was just a get things ready day and i just took zome veggies for a few people. Our days of operation and hours are Wed. - Fri. 11am-7pm Sat.7am-2pm Sun.12pm-3pm

Hello. I am new here on BYC. I live in Newalla, OK and just recently got some more chickens to raise. Years ago I had several breeds of chickens but now only a few Lavender Orps. They are only a couple of months old so can't wait till they grow up.
