***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Oh cool never hatched a silkie before, lol. They may be done by tomorrow. The other 3 Doms are all zipped just waiting on them to pop out on their own and the other two bantam eggs are pipped and chirping but not zipping yet. Just added water to the hatcher and will check them tomorrow morning. Who knows but I figure they should all be done by tomorrow evening maybe tomorrow morning. If they are done in the morning I can leave instructions with my 15 year old to get them ready for you when you get here. I will be at the fireworks stand all day until it is time to come home and get birds ready for auction tomorrow night.

Well, I'd rather come get them in the afternoon / evening if it works out for everybody. That way I could leave my boys with my husband while I make the short road trip.

Left the house in Tn at5:15this morning and arrived at the farm at 3! Not to bad considering I had to stop four or five times to wake up! Boy is it dry here! I thought we were dry in Tn but it's really dry here. And when I get moved tote fam aim sure going to get some guineas! I never seen so many grasshoppers!

Hello again, I have been here reading posts since I joined. . . . . .I just needed some time before I shared. Last week while proudly sharing my pictures and telling you all about my bestest girl-friend, my son an my god daughter were outside building a temp. run for the chicks. I had tended to all my birds, an let them out to run the yard, worked in the garden for awhile then came inside. Someone let out our two female pups, which constantly need supervision (only 11 weeks old). They got ahold of my girl. The kids did not notice, they were hammering posts in the ground. By the time they noticed the pups were out, she was already gone. My Helen never had a chance. . . . I have lost others, but this is so different. She was so sweet, she wanted to be with us! That is all she ever wanted, this is so hard. I feel like a boob. I am just glad I shared her with the group.
Hannah, I am so sorry. My Yorkie, yes I said Yorkie, killed one of my hens. she was red and her name was Lucy. who would have thought that my cute little pup was a killer?
but they just do what comes natural, however you can bet that he is never allowed around any birds again! I felt so bad for letting him out when she was up by the house, I just never dreamed he would get one. Now my chickens are fenced for thier own protection.

My husband will be thrilled to know that there won't be any frillbacks at the meet. I've been wanting some for years! He keeps saying "but they're useless". I keep saying "but they're pretty"!

Note to self. Even if you're really exhausted and it's "only" a 20% chance of rain, it is, in retrospect, a lot easier to put the tarp on the hoop house when it's daylight and NOT raining. Just sayin'.
