stay cool everyone

MacGuyver - Your roo is anxious to be out of quarantine. He gives me "the look" every time I feed, water, or visit with him. I know he will love his ladies. They are among my best layers, and it will be nice to feel like the Dominique group is once more complete. Thank you so much for bringing him on Saturday.

T-Shirt info for those who pre-ordered: The manager produced the shirts on Monday. The color of the text was supposed to be black on red or red on black, but it looked more like gray on red and mauve on black, so neither was easy to read. This and the missed delivery date of last Friday and the manager's decision not to reduce the price led to a long silence. In the end, I left the shop without the shirts. The manager said she understood my complaints, but policy kept her from negotiating after the initial order was placed.

Ha. He's good at "the look", isn't he? Charley, (the little blue pullet I got from banjoejoe) is so pretty and friendly. I'm not sure if I'm anxious for her to be out of quarantine and in with the others, or if I just want to keep her inside and love on her forever!

Bah, on the T-shirt people. They stink. I still had fun.

OMG! I actually got a photo posted!

This is a picture of the hens I got at NEOCS. Swedish Flower Hens. I've wanted some for a while

Left to right - June May and April.
Couldn't get them to line up the other way. haha
April is a little to light to photograph very well, she has charcoal and red smudges on her white feathers.
Just so excited to get these birds! When they start laying in a few month I'll be looking for a roo. Gonna name him August.
Note: the rest of my flock is not named, just the roo. He is Red.

The light birds are a challenge to photograph, try on a cloudy day, or at dusk/dawn, or in the shade it will help w/ the over exposure.

And Joe pics are always a good thing.

Good ideas about the shade. All black and all white are real problems because there are really no clues to depth of field. Of course, if I had Kass's camera....
