***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Matt Smith is still growing on my I LOVED David Tennent. I am a huge Whovian, well I don't dress up or anything, but it is one of the few shows I will watch the reruns repeatedly.

Robin is a whovian too.

I think so far that my favorite show is where Sarah, I think that was her name, got revisited. In the episode her K-9 got destroyed so before he left the Doctor gave her a new one.

I don't think that it was but a few years after that the actress died from cancer that played the part.

Yes I like that episode for the nostalgia of K9, from the old Doctor Who. Sooooo many great episodes to pick one would be hard.

"School Reunion". It was an awesome episode. Elisabeth Sladen got her own spinoff show, The Sarah Jane Adventures, before she died. It's geared more toward kids, but it was awesome, and she was fantastic. David Tennant and Matt Smith both guest starred in an episode or two.

I love Doctor Who. I started watching with Chris Eccleston and it about broke my heart when David Tennant replaced him. Right now I'm really in love with Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor. The movie was pretty much dreck, but his audio adventures with Big Finish are just amazing. The chemistry between Paul McGann and India Fisher as the Doctor and Charlotte Pollard just blew me away. I won't spoil anything for you, but their relationship is so awesome it made me go "Pffft. Rose. WhatEVER!"

Hey Okiesawyers, I saw you were from Dover but actually had no idea where Dover was until today when we drove through on the way to take our daughter to church camp. I waved at ya even though I had no idea whereabouts you lived other than in the creek bottom.

Did you see me? Ha.

I've read so many different things about farm tax numbers that we didn't think we had enough land or birds to get one so we hadn't tried, but reading this latest batch of posts we're going to try at least on Wednesday to find out what we actually need in our county to get it done.

Got all the trees trimmed out of the fence line today to start the driveway move to the back of the property. So tired of dealing with the crazy neighbors who now say they are "watching" us. What the blip does that mean? Anyway, we got the chain link loose and ready to move, cut the top rail, and got the post pulled out to move in the morning to it's new location. Finally did a bunch of measuring too. We weren't sure how much space we would have for our car due to a tree and an electric pole in the alley but surprisingly we will have tons more room than we have now. I'm so happy. Tomorrow we will set the new post in concrete, move the banty pen and fence of the chicken yard to give us enough room to actually park the car back there tomorrow. Then, hopefully on Wednesday we can finish the garage conversion and move the birds in there so we can get the current chicken house taken apart and start laying gravel. If only we were about ten more people we could get it all done by Wednesday ... but my son hasn't figured out how to replicate us yet so.

Got the snot bit out of me by one of my banty roosters today. He literally grabbed the back of my hand and twisted while biting. It took a lot of control not to throw him into a wall. He's such a beautiful bird (mottled cochin) and we got him to be a show bird but he's gotten really bitey and aggressive. I just hate it because we don't know what to do with him now. Any ideas? And our other banty rooster, a golden sebright that is also just beautiful, crows all the time whenever anyone is around. Is that a breed trait or something? It's our first time with bantys and cochins and sebrights.

Another thing that I thought of. If the neighbors are running the generator as well as having electricity in the house it is a grower operation. Many times growers can be caught because their electricity usage spikes because of the Sodium or Halide lights used in the operation. One sure sign is one room of the house that is blacked out with black plastic or foil over the windows.

One thing that has helped me is to wear nearly the same colored clothing when I go out and take care of the birds. No reds or bright colors after all why dress colorful like a rooster and then expect to handle one? That tip was given to me years ago by an older gent that had games. Watch the fingernail polish too, if you want to have fun paint your toenails red and then go into the layer pen with sandels on!

With birds meant for show some will take the bird inside in the evening and while they watch tv put the bird on your lap and just sit there and pet it, it should get the bird used to being handled. The judges wear white coats so if you have a white robe or whatever wear that. Judges like birds that they don't have to chase around the coop.

I don't get to watch much anymore, I will have to look into getting some DVDs.

I started watching when Tom Baker was the Doctor, he used his scarf nearly as much as his Sonic Screwdriver. LOL

Like you said Kass all of the episode that I have seen are great and through the years have told a much larger story and at times have hinted that there may be more Time Lords out there, they just haven't been found yet.

I haven't been able to get into Tom Baker yet. I feel like such a fraud. I know he's iconic, and was the favorite Doctor for like forever. I just don't get him. I finally got used to Hartnell and I like him. I loved Troughton right away. I would run away with Pertwee in a heartbeat. Baker, T. just weirds me out. Davison is a sweetheart. He's easily in my top five favorites. I actually like Colin Baker. I know! Nobody likes Baker, C., but I do. Trial of a Time Lord was awesome. Sylvester McCoy shares a quantum state of "My Favorite Doctor (depending on which one I'm watching / listening to at the moment.)" with Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston. Eccleston was my first Doctor. I'll never get over him. Tennant was great, he just doesn't make it into my top three. And Matt Smith, I'm still not sure about him. I'm starting to suspect that I love Matt Smith, but it's River I don't like.

I wish they would do more with the story line about the Doctors daughter.

They may have done more then hint in some episodes you haven't seen yet. (hint hint)

Kass - She's beautiful!!! Never thought I'd love NN birds, but I do. They forage well, thrive in hot and cold weather, and lay nice big brown eggs.
