***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Kass - She's beautiful!!! Never thought I'd love NN birds, but I do. They forage well, thrive in hot and cold weather, and lay nice big brown eggs.
She is very nice and she is going to make some beautiful chickies. They have such sweet personalities too, not cuddly, but that's okay I don't cuddle them anyway.

I wish they would do more with the story line about the Doctors daughter.

They may have done more then hint in some episodes you haven't seen yet. (hint hint)
I heard that in the original script Jenny died, but Moffat asked RTD to keep it ambiguous so he had the option of doing more with her. Then she had to fall in love with Tennant, marry him and have his babies. Grrrr. Darn actress's real life getting in the way of my Doctor Who fix!

I don't get to watch much anymore, I will have to look into getting some DVDs.

I started watching when Tom Baker was the Doctor, he used his scarf nearly as much as his Sonic Screwdriver. LOL

Like you said Kass all of the episode that I have seen are great and through the years have told a much larger story and at times have hinted that there may be more Time Lords out there, they just haven't been found yet.
My Mother was a huge Doctor Who fan back in the 1970-80s..don't remember the actor's name, but he had a head full of curly brown hair.. I would go by to see her and she would be sitting in front of the tv with a big wowl of popcorn grading papers and watching Dr. Who. Sweet memories.

Anybody want this cute pair of cochin bantams? Boy and a girl. They're brother and sister.

Three weeks old.

They're five and a half weeks in this picture. You can see them, they're the lightest ones. That's their mama in with them.

Message me. We'll talk.
Sorry, I haven't gotten back to you about them. I forgot who had them but as much as I'd like them, I just don't think we can do more right now. My hubby isn't working now but also our other banty cochin has gotten really aggressive and we haven't been able to figure out why so I'd hate to introduce any other birds for him to be a snot to. It started when we were gone on a short trip a few weeks ago and someone was watching our birds for us. I don't know if something happened while we were gone or what.
Quote: I hadn't thought about that prospect. The woman was actually arrested one time for growing back twenty something years ago. And they have a son who's in prison for 25 years or something for distributing and two other kids that have been in jail for drug charges as well. We just thought that all their covered up windows were because they were strange and didn't want to talk to anyone in the neighborhood. They don't have a bunch of traffic at their house, almost none actually, however, they will be home and running the generator etc with all the interesting smells for a week or so and then they'll be gone for several days. And while they're home, they're almost obsessive about constantly doing yard work, making noise ... Starting to think that it's all a cover.

And thanks everyone for the advice with the banty roo. So far we've been just holding him every time he bites until he calms down but that only works if he can't get to our hands. We're going to try some of these things and we'll let you know what works. My daughter actually paints her fingernails and goes out there. It's kind of funny (only because she hasn't been hurt). All the turkeys, especially will crowd around her to peck at her nails.

Well, we'll see what today brings. Yesterday was punctuated by a visit with the code enforcement people after our "lovely" neighbors decided to complain about our birds. Of course after checking it out, code enforcement told them to stick it where the sun don't shine (only in a lot more nice words). They said we weren't cleaning up after them or feeding them and that they crowed all the time. Our roos didn't crow once during their visit (ha!) and the code guy said that yes our chickens smelled like chickens but that our other neighbors dog poo smelled worse and that clearly, due to the size of our compost pile, we were cleaning up after them and that all the birds were healthy and well taken care of as far as he could see. Then the neighbor who lives behind us came out and told them that he sees us taking care of our birds all the time and that they aren't a problem at all. (yeah neighbor!) The best part was when the code guy said that we had enough space that we could get a cow or horse if we wanted too. That really would give the neighbor heart failure ...

Of course none of that helped us get their beat up pickup out of the driveway so that we can actually use our side of the driveway. Can't afford a lawyer and we guess that's what it's going to take at this point. Sigh. You'd think after 90 plus years of a shared driveway working fine that someone could do something about the problem without us having to hire a lawyer.

Our new garage conversion is almost done!!! The rabbits are moved in with an a/c even. Today we just have to build the doors and put up the roosts. Not sure what our broodies are going to do or how we're going to handle that. We have two girls now brooding. They were trying to sit on the same nest at the same time so we moved half the eggs to another nest for the second girl. Only a week to go with them and then we can see what we'll get. Mutts I'm sure because our rooster is an EE mutt. He's beautiful but looks like seven different breeds of chicken all got mashed together to make him. Last time we got a white chicken with a comb that was half single and half pea. It was bizarre.

AND our stars must have been aligned just right because we even got the city to start work to replace the electric pole behind our house that was blocking part of where we wanted to put our new driveway. It needed to be replaced anyway but they even agreed to move it out of our way for us.

Dr. Who ... are you kidding me? I used to love love love that show back in the 80's but I just can't get into the new one. Not sure why. Maybe because I didn't get in at the first of it ... oh well, I'll keep trying.

Have a good morning everyone!!

I smell smoke when I'm outside. There must be a grass fire south of here. I hope it's contained. I can't see anything, and the smell isn't strong, so maybe it's a remnant oder from an earlier fire.

I got my hair cut yesterday (Updated my avatar to reflect the new doo). I also received my class schedule (subject to change), but at least I know what to plan for until told otherwise. Senior English and Art II will fill my days for the next nine months. This is going to be a good year : )

Enjoy the cloud cover, everyone. Maybe it will bring some rain over the next few days.

Might call the local office of the OBN and talk to them.
