The pickled eggs would be from Bfrancis, Never had pickled eggs. But your post makes me want some.

Hope everyone gets a chance to see a few showers tomorrow & the weather guy isn't just teasing us!

Probably see them all around us. For some reason This is one of the drier regions of Kgfr. Co.

At this point I will take whatever is offered, there are spring-fed creeks in the area and they are getting rather shallow.

Saw a field of stubble being burned off this morning and where the smoke went up a cloud formed at the top of the smoke plume. Of course the camera was in the other truck.

really??? what are BFA dramas?? that pops a bubble...LOL!
Oh, those are so good. A company called Big Finish got a license from the BBC to do Doctor Who as audio dramas starting around 2001? I think? Anyway, it was in the hinterlands when the show wasn't in production. Paul McGann has played the Eighth Doctor for over NINETY HOURS!! He has some amazing stories too. Just awesome. Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Peter Davison, and now even Tom Baker have gone back to reprise their roles. They get the original actors as companions too.

Rabbit people-- have a friend ISO a grey long ear rabbit. It is for her daughter to have as a pet. Told her I can find rabbits easy. Just not sure of a grey long eared one! Anyone lmk if you have one.

Anyone know where I could find some Bourbon Red or Royal Palm poults? A friend is looking for some. Send me a PM or email if you have any suggestions or some for sale. I will pass the info along.
Thank you

Nice birds Kass! I never thought I'd like NN's but after seeing yours I'm growing fonder of them.

Haven't had time today to call the drug people but I am planning on doing so. It's nuts to have to deal with these people not to mention worrying that they are going to blow something up or kill my birds with their fumes.

Got the birds moved into their new digs tonight. They were not happy about the move at first and ran around the pen in circles instead of actually going in the door but after we put them inside we left the light on for about 45 minutes and left them alone. When we went out to turn off the light, the turkeys were all perched together on the windowsill with our rooster with them and all the girls were on the roost across the house. They seem to have settled down just fine so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Here's two of the turkeys and one of our barred rocks checking out their new house before we were quite finished.

Had a good day @ the market. Then came home to make some mild cowboy candy. Did 3/4 sweet peppers & 1/4 hot peppers. Think the kids should even be able to eat it now. Before with only hot peppers it was too much heat for most people. Maybe my sante fe peppers are hotter than jalapeños? Tomorrow I am going to make a quick run up to Blanchard to buy 4 more flats of tomato plants for the fall. I have enough row cover that hopefully I can keep them going until late November. This yr tomatoes have thrived so well I want to do my best to keep them going & would like a 2 yrs stash of tomatoes, sauces & salsa. Last yr dwindled my stock pile away drastically!
Hope everyone gets a chance to see a few showers tomorrow & the weather guy isn't just teasing us!
Please pm me you recipe for cowboy candy...mild. I hear you on the stockpile. I was down to one jar of soup starter and no B & B jalepenos. I've been canning u a storm for the past two weeks. 23 gallons of diverse pickles and 37 quarts of soup starter. Put up 21 pints of pickled okra today and have 1/2 bushel of tomatoes for soup starter tomorrow.

I kept my turkey juveniles with our chickens when I had turkeys at least until Tom decided the girls were his and kept my rooster from doing his manly duties.
