For short cuts you can use flush-cut side cutters. When I cut with tin snips I make two cuts which knocks the long pieces off of the edge. And I don't use tin snips either, well not the traditional ones anyways, I use Aviation snips. They come to make straight cuts or either right or left curves. There are even some that the handles are above the work to help keep your hands safe. What do you all use to cut hardware cloth? I've got some tin snips but they leave a huge nub and I'm bleeding all over. What do i look for in the hardware store that will give a nice clean close cut? Thanks!
They are bulky to use but you might get some welder's gloves to protect your hands and wrists. They are very heavy leather and have long cuffs on them.
