***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Teva has asthma and her attacks are mainly triggered by stress. Like last Sat. when she was dispatched and was given an hour to get from Enid to Chickasha. Even though dispatch dropped the ball on this it stressed her to the max because she hates being late.

Thanks, that makes sense given our temps and conditions this year. I was thinking it was something along those lines but having never grown any type of grain I didn't know for sure.

And here I am up at 5:30 again. I can't breathe. Guessing that I'm having a reaction to all the pollution from the fires or something. I've had to do two breathing treatments in less than 8 hours and I'm still wheezing and feel like I have an elephant sitting on me. Allergy counts must be through the roof. I hate having asthma. And then the meds make me jumpy on top of it. I tried to not even go outside yesterday but that's impossible with the birds and such. No way they can fill their own waterers ... hehe ... although I have a couple of turkeys who would try I think. Not that they're smart or anything, just curious as all get out. One of them stepped on the sprayer nozzle just right and sprayed our older turkey. They all sure talked about that. Gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble.

Hope everyone has a good day! Hubby starts his new job this morning so we'll see how it goes. Me, I'm hoping to go back to sleep if these meds will ever kick in and do their job.
Hope you are feeling better. My asthma has been kicking up also so can sympathize. Hopefully all the fires will soon be out.

Well last night I earned another stork pin. A blue one. That is two for this year, everyone was well when delivered to the hospital. That was exciting and even though I am tired (long night) and not feeling well, had me in a good mood, but when I got home I had horrible news. Gary wouldn't tell me while I was at work, but appearantly we lost our little scaleless chickie doo

I am almost positive it is a local or feral house cat, we have two live traps out and have had since trapping the other cat but haven't caught anything yet.

The addage should be changed from not counting your chickens before the hatch to not counting them before they are grown.
I'm so sorry, Kass. But definitely congratulations on the delivery.

Well yesterday something ate the bait out of the live trap but wasn't caught, but today they weren't so lucky. You'll never guess what Gary caught, (well those of you who are entertained by a certain chicken may) ..................................... it was Yeta the Wonder Chicken.

They have an automatic door triggered by the light (sun) so she got caught this morning, after the door opened.

Those of you dealing w/ asthma I agree it stinks. I have been fighting going on a controller med for years, but this last month I finally gave in and am taking a controller med. My Dr and I do not agree on the meds to use, I'll probably switch to an asthma/allergy specialist b/c I don't have much faith in this Dr's handle on this problem.

I watched a 60 minutes article about the evils of sugar yesterday. This prompted me to do a little label reading on some of the stuff in my fridge/pantry. Well I read the label on the whipped cream can, and it said there were 70 servings in this can, and I'm like what???????? I don't get nearly that many cups of coffee before I have to get a new can, I think someone is robbing me of my whipped cream! So then I read what a serving is, they say 2 tbsp, so I measure that out, now seriously what kind of sick joke are those crazy people playing???????

Mine are triggered by allergies mainly. I can't imagine having them triggered by stress. That would be bad.

I need to go to an allergy/asthma specialist. All mine has done is give me an inhaler and a nebulizer, no long term control meds. I think I need some everyday control meds because the inhaler isn't working very well. It just sucks to not be able to breathe.

Can you even spray out only 2 TBS at a time??? I didn't know that was possible.

I have lots of triggers, laughing, cold air, exersize, singing, fragrence, cleaners (areosolized mostly, but other strong cleaners too), personal care products that spray (deoderant, static gaurd etc). I haven't been able to attend church in several years, I have to listen on the phone. I can't even count the number of stores, restuarants, and public venues I've had to leave.
