That happened to us at our old house. we kept the babies (4 of them) in a pet carrier. The momma came back about 12 hours later looking for her kiddos. We let them out and they went back home.

I'm not sure how old they are. Are their eyes open? You might have to supplement them with newborn kitten formula and a small syringe or if they'll suck a small wildlife bottle. there is a Wildlife refuge down the street from us that would take them if you don't want to mess with it. I can give you their info if you want it.

Yes, their eyes are open and by the looks of them I would say they are near to being weaned. I`m afraid that refuge i too far away. Thanks you!

So Mike D, nnbreeder, Ronnie, NanaKat, etc. anybody have an opinion on the age of these birds??
Most peep get new hen's every year ..Iv read that soon as the pullet's start laying they will get rid of ther hen's an in the spring start over again with chick's to start the same thing over..2yrs is the longest that any one would keep hen's in cage's tho so you no they cant be any older than that ..Some look old because they cant get in the dirt to clean ther feather's an on wire ther toe nail's grow long so they look older than they realy are

Okay. Thanks Mike. Maybe that is why they are selling so many.

My son and I both have asthma, that fortunately is well controlled with medication. Many years ago, we went to the Oklahoma City Asthma and Allergy Clinic for allergy testing and help with the asthma. His pediatrician later commented on the quantity of meds my son was taking and I agreed that it was several medications, but pointed out that my son had not needed to see him every 4 months for Prednisone after my son started taking the meds prescribed by the Asthma and Allergy Clinic.

The doctors at the Asthma/Allergy Clinic have at least 3 more years of training than your average pediatrician or family doctor. It really does make a difference. Some asthma meds are helpful to me and some actually seem to make my asthma worse.

Rooster teach them how to use nest boxes and lay eggs? That would be some rooster! :)

Seriously, though, I know what you mean. You wouldn't happen to have any for sale, would you?

PS: Thanks again for the use of the cages. They were perfect!
