***OKIES in the BYC III ***

The leghorns from fisher are feathering in speedy fast. They are not pretty, but all the fluffy new feathers is amazing. Think several of them are moulting, the pen is full of old ugly feathers. I was shocked at all the new feathers that these girls have already managed to grow back. They have stopped laying, and are still sleeping in a pile in the corner. However they spend their days scratching & enjoying the sunlight. A couple now have red combs, but most are still pale pink.
Buster & Ronnie hope yours are filling back in nicely too.

So I will probably not post nearly as much here until I start to get things straightened out at work.
Next week is going to be even longer I think. I really needed to work today but Teva forbid that, she doesn't want me to get burnt out.
At the end of the day I like to stand back and actually see what was done and to me that is a full shop in the morning and an empty one at night and having the drivers come in at night and reporting no problems with their trucks.

I'm SO mad at myself for not getting a couple Hoodas from Joe at NEOCS!! This black one of yours is one of the prettiest birds I've ever seen. I need to get ahold of Joe about some Hooda eggs. And Ari is truly gorgeous-wow! I can't believe he's rumpless and double tufted-the 3 pullets I got from Joe are all rumpless and 2 are tufted. But the 7 I hatched from shipped eggs? *5* are boys, most are tailed and only 2 are tufted. The 2 that are tufted have big ole' long tails. So I don't know what happened there. They're all very sweet though, they sure got the Araucana personality. I just adore Ari's dad, he's the nicest boy

I thank Joe for him all the time.

I love these two birds of yours. The top one is just ... elegant ... and the other I think I'm partial to because I have barred rocks that I love. Still don't know that I can do NN's though. My parade of people who come by to look at our birds would probably think they were sick or something and then I'd have to deal with all that.

nnbreeder - glad you're liking the new job. Wish my husband would find something soon.

Here's some pics from today. It's been such a beautiful day. Church, fish fry and picnic, a drive to Stillwater to drop off our son, a nice visit with my parents, and home again for supper.

Erin and Kass, I love the pictures!!! We were busy here and will be busy, busy all week. We went to Nanakat's and picked up two beautiful roos!!! I love them and got to see her wonderfull indoor area she built. It is sooooo nice! Wish we could have visited longer but we got a call on our way there that someone was on their way to our house, lol. But that someone was hubby's cousin who we don't get to see often, plus he was bringing us 12 10' long by 6' tall chain link fence panels, and 4 hog panels, got all that for $160 delivered!!! Couldn't beat that at all!!!! Now we will be building 2 new pens out of all that.

Okay a question for you all. What can I use safely for seed ticks. We don't have any of the bigger ticks thanks to the guineas and chickens. But we have seed ticks THICK! They are now even in my car from working in the yard and then getting in my car to run to the store. I have got to do something about them. But it needs to be safe for the pets and birds and kids, ect.

Uh-oh... if you renew it within 30 days of it expiring there is no problem, take your old one in, get a new photo, pay, and bam you're done. But past that there is more... at least the state-issued, certified birth certificate (no copies). http://www.dps.state.ok.us/dls/ Hope that's all you have to do and nothing more!

artsy my Driver lic. was out an i didnt no for like 3 mths so i had to go get a birth cert an s.s card it took 2 form's of ID ..You mite call the tag office an ask thim /

OKieridge Thank's for the bird's an the feed sack's ..I used 7 dust in the past it was 10per now they only have 5per dont no how that will work on the tick's good luck..

It has been such a long morning already. My mother passed away in the wee hours of this morning. I've been trying to contact family and been unable to yet. She was my birth mother, but not the mom who raised me.
