I'm giving my eyes a rest. I'm trying to grade character studies from T
he Canterbury Tales. According to some, the Pardoner sold pigs from a cloth bag, claiming that they were saints. Others declared that the Wife of Bath was the cleanest person on the pilgrimage, because she brought her bathtub with her. One student went so far as to describe a wagon outfitted with a tub, handrails, and a cloth curtain (for modesty). Nobody had trouble with the Knight or the Squire, but the character of the Monk prompted interesting answers. One student said the Monk was multi-phobic, and he's on the pilgrimage just in case there is a murder that needs to be solved. I think I need to go to bed. My brain hurts
