***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Safeguard is easy to get and effective. Yes, Wazine only kills roundworms, they're one of the least harmful worms. When using Safeguard be sure to re-dose 10 days later to catch the worms that hatched out of the eggs inside their intestines. Wormer doesn't kill the worm eggs inside their bodies, just the worms themselves.

I'm giving my eyes a rest. I'm trying to grade character studies from The Canterbury Tales. According to some, the Pardoner sold pigs from a cloth bag, claiming that they were saints. Others declared that the Wife of Bath was the cleanest person on the pilgrimage, because she brought her bathtub with her. One student went so far as to describe a wagon outfitted with a tub, handrails, and a cloth curtain (for modesty). Nobody had trouble with the Knight or the Squire, but the character of the Monk prompted interesting answers. One student said the Monk was multi-phobic, and he's on the pilgrimage just in case there is a murder that needs to be solved. I think I need to go to bed. My brain hurts

I am really hoping they were TRYING to be funny????

Picked up a couple pairs of turkeys at the Newcastle Auction. A pair of Black Spanish and a pair of Royal Palm. I also picked up a LF Black Cochin hen. I think that this was the most amount of birds I have ever seen run thru there. Prices were kinda low, highest birds were about $27 for some Wheaton Marans. Got to see a few BYC'ers there also.

Always good to hear about the auction. Makes me miss attending, but some how if we go to the auction it adds to our bird count.
Poco grading papers is bad enough, makes it so much worse when you feel like no one is getting it or desires to get it.
Tomorrow DH said he was going to try & process some extra birds. Not sure how it will go. I normally do most of it alone, but I can't even cut up my steak without my hands cramping up. Taron picked out 1 roo that is a bully & none of the others like him. She penned him up all by his self tonight, poor guy he must have really pushed her buttons. Not sure how many Roos are on the chopping block, guess depends on how many favorites she holds onto.
My insomnia is kicking back in, been sleeping well the past few wks-- really thought I had been cured.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Robin I use safeguard for my goats & birds. I have never seen a worm but I still treat my whole flock. Don't beat your self up, only thing you can do is change how you worm in the future. Did your little chick make it? The one you helped out of the shell?
i use safeguard on my goats too but i didn't know you could use on your chickens too, what is the doseing for birds?

Good morning Folks! :)

I`m off to feed and water the cheekins.....They are getting a little change in their diet this morning, I`m adding some Manna Pro Conditioner to the mix to see how that works out.

After I clean the pens this morning I`m going to put down some fresh alfalfa, I picked up a bale yesterday at Tractor Supply, it looks better than the last one I got, more grass and less stems. At $15 a bale it better be a good one!

Football yesterday and NASCAR today, life is good! I hope y`all have a good `n!

I use 2.25 ml for each gal of water for 3-5 days. I write the dosage on my goats bottle of liquid safeguard just so I don't forget! I worm again in 10-14 days & dont sale the eggs but feed the eggs to the birds or dogs for at least 3 days after each worming. Best to worm when egg production is low so it doesn't feel so painful tossing all the eggs.
