***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I put my flock in the big run today they immediately found the ant's. Then they found the ant hill I missed will thousands of ants kill my birds.

In the event anyone is interested I am letting a breeder quad of BB Red rosecomb go, as well as a breeder trio of Black Rosecomb. All are very good birds, The BB Red male has been shown heavily as has 1 pullet, the blacks are all of good show quality and type.

The ants should not hurt the birds, mine like to eat ants when they find them.
The ant's are small but there are a lot of them.when the chickens danced on the hill and tore it up they are all over the place chickens cant keep up eating them one bite and my hand is swollen.

Afternoon, All : )

Rain, rain, rain. Thank you, Lord, for the rain. It's tough to slog through the mud, but I'd rather have green grass than brown grass.

I turned in my high school keys and had a chance to see my new room at the middle school. It's two rooms combined, so there is a lot of floor space, but right now every inch of it is filled with the furniture and junk used by two different teachers last year. I'm imagining potential... I will not panic!

If you have a picture of a favorite work space, post it for me. I want to set up an area where students can read and study quietly in addition to having the work tables for regular class time. I'm going to need to get creative with drying space as well. I have two tables that are my own, but two table tops will not be enough space for projects in progress if I've got 150 students. That number is conservative. I'll probably have more. I think the 25-student cap was lifted last year.

Egg production is good here. I hope everyone is experiencing the same. I'm thinking about making an angel food cake this weekend. It's been ages since I've baked anything just for fun. Speaking of fun, I've ignored the laundry buzzer twice, so I'd better get back to house work. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
