***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I have been INVADED!!!!!!! I was to hot dirty and tired to get the camera out, but maybe someone will know what this is by description. It is a vine, it has small deeply lobed leaves w/ 3 points, looks similar to maple leaf in shape, has a small fruit about the size of a grape, slightly oblong green in color and smells similar to cucumbers. This is a VIGOROUS grower, like star in it's on Syfy movie, sent from outer space to invade the planet. Last year I had nothing like this, and this year I am overrun. Does anyone know what it is or how I got it?

I'll find the name...we have it at the rent house and had it when we lived in OKC. The weed vine is tender and the leaves range in size from quarter to half dollar. You can pull it easily but the green grapes drop off and when dry they can still sprout . So you have to collect them off the ground. We pull and burn it. Cows don't eat it.when the rent house was empty, we did spray it with Round-up.

I figured it was no good, nothing that grows that speedily and vigorously ever is! lol

I have been amazed at the speed of it's growth, like no other plant I have ever seen, if the "fruit" can be seed bearing even if it falls off unripe, that probably explains where I got it from, probably in the wood chips I put all over the yard this year.

I'm pretty sure we have it, too, but don't yet know what it is. The leaf tissue is thin and the vines rather wispy, and it has tendrils that curl around the things it grows on, like grape vines. The small, oblong, grape-like fruits are single rather than in clumps. I'll keep looking, and would like an identification also if anyone finds it.

I find it is not too bad, even though it does grow rapidly and comes up in multiple locations.
