Good morning everyone and happy Labor Day!! It's been a while since I've been on BYC. I do not have much chicken chat to talk about today but I am looking for a pygmy or Nigerian dwarf goat if anybody knows where I can find one in the near Tulsa/Okmulgee area I would appreciate it.

I have wondered about Country Hatchery, but the birds I have settled on to raise are not at any hatchery anyway and I am committed to KISS w/ my chickens no matter what sparkly pretty you guys dangle in front of me "I will be strong, I will stick to my plan" lol lol lol That is my new mantra!

Will anyone be processing birds at home in a couple of months? I have 2 cockerels and 2 young drakes that I'd like to have processed but can't do it on my own. I'll help you with the process (can't guarantee how much help I'll be since I've never done it before) if we can throw my 4 birds into the mix (I want to take them home of course). I'm near Bristow.

Hello. I am Mary Mannion and I am from Brisbane ;Australia. I have seven chickens and they free range some of the day and have a large pen and coop to enjoy. I have started foraging and feeding my girls weeds that are good for them. One of my girls had her comb basically destroyed by our native turkeys and since I have been feeding them chickweed it has grown almost fully back and looking red and healthy.Have a wonderful day everyone.
