***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I am glad that this came out again....just as funny! Hey, @KSANE... now knowing you better, and watching this again...I am thinking that you and the onegirlsrant must be long lost twin cousins or something!

rofl! It was hilarious :-D The Gateway Livestock :lau Except I had every other kind of livestock long *before i ever got chickens, isn't that strange?
There's another video (a movie actually) I noticed when I was watching the other one. It'c called "The Life Of chickens" at
(that's the mobile site for it). It's about the intelligence, etc of chickens, it's good! They're all battery hens in England, I bet Robin will like it.
Did you get any chicks yet?? What day are they due?

Yah, the BBC one. I saw it just a couple weeks ago. It's insane how quick they learn. Then the part where they have the hawk and the stuffed fox. Ha! Those chickens knew better that it was a fake fox. I just can't believe how brutal they are to those hens and how many there were! It was so good to see that there still are decent humans who will rescue and find homes for even chickens. Poor things. Once in awhile I look at the find a pet site and it has rescued chickens. I would love to "adopt" a rescue chicken if hubby would let me.

I just finished posting pics of the Talimena Drive to FB, I'll share a few here too, it was awesomely beautiful, but the best shots were fogged in.

I know you all understand what I mean when I say that chickens are like potato chips. You cant just have one. So I ran into a youtube video that explains this in a different way. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did! It helped me understand my new chicken sickness.

Today, but nothing yet. Sigh....I hate this part.
Its like Christmas but with your parents threatening - and coming through sometimes - to cancel it!

We've been a backyard chicken family for about six months. My daughters adore their chickens. A lot. They talk about chickens. They hold their chickens. They draw chickens. They tell stories about their chickens. These are some beloved chickens. But, sadly, our Sonja Rojo (yes, this chicken has a first and last name) the Rhode Island Red is a rooster. And we live in town. Sonja needs a new home where roosters are not prohibited by city regulations. Sonja is a gorgeous bird- a nice dark rust brown with glossy green and a lovely green tail. He is now six months old and still very friendly and gets held daily. We would like to give him to someone who is looking for a show bird (again, he is lovely and very friendly) or a breeder. As he is a pet, we would prefer to give him to someone who will care for him and not put him in a pot. We live in the OKC metro area. Anyone interested in adopting Sonja Rojo?

Hi, and a big

I would take him but I live in Lawton and have no way of getting up there for at least 3 or 4 weeks.
I am living in town but roosters aren't banned here and we are moving to 10 acres soon. So if you happen to be heading this way anytime soon I would love to take him.
