***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I am interested in growing fodder, does anyone know where I can get bulk wheat seed in the Tulsa area? Amazon has 10lbs for about $20 with free 2-day shipping, didn't know if that was a good deal or not though. Thanks for any help!
My feed store carries it. I think I pay 12 something for 50 lbs of wheat. I'll see how much wheat seed is. You could try the feed stores around there. If not, I go to Tulsa a lot for Dr.s appts. and could bring you some.

Yay!

Oooh, what feed store and where? Tomorrow can't get here soon enough, y'all. I need chicken therapy.

Hi, guys.

So, I think I know a few of you who are doing something tomorrow (?) but I was just wondering who all had plans for tomorrow.

It's Friday. The end of another long, torturous week!

Well think about it... aren't they almost perfectly shaped for the underside of a chicken??? If you cut a V in the back waist and laced up the rest of the waist along the chicken's back, it would be ideal if it had a pouch. LOL, i even thought about picking up an athletic cup for that purpose. Poor bird wouldn't know which gender he was after I was done with him. I'm leery of wrapping his feet because I don't want anything rubbing against his blister. I also work in town during the day, so I'm away from the house for ten hours or more. By the time I get home, he's got little poodles everywhere in his tub. And since I don't want to risk anything sticking into his blisters, he's on paper towels instead of bedding, so he gets poodles all over his feet.

I'll have to try the Atwoods in Owasso, since the TSC in Skiatook apparently doesn't carry it. At least not that I've seen.

You guys have probably already seen this information dozens of times (Rinda probably has the numbers memorized), but here it is one more time in case you need it...

The OK Dept of Agriculture offers free necropsy services on poultry. What they require is a non-frozen, fresh carcass (keep it refrigerated after death if you can). You can take the carcass to them, or if you live in a rural area or far enough away, you can call them, and they arrange shipping, all free of charge.

You can contact Dr. Herrin at the DoA, 405-522-6142, or Sherri, the woman who runs their dept, 405-522-6139. I just talked to Dr. Herrin and he's REALLY nice, very personable and easy to talk to. They make the arrangements with you and get it taken care of.

Wow, I will have to remember this! This will be impressively helpful someday, I bet!
