***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hey all....Been lurking occasionally, but nothing
much going on around here in this heat.

Bill's new knee has been a God send. We're soooo
thankful. Now going thru MRIs and stuff on NaNa.
Spec says it's not my hips like the local yokels said.
Say it's lower back, so....... Will see the spec
Friday.

Maybe has something to do with our well water,
but..... Our cochins are the laying'est birds on
the place, along with the EEs....LOL Bill even
raised a batch of EE/Cochin crosses and won't
even price them. The cochins are super gentle
birds if you have little people, too. A black cochin
rooster that would ride in his gator car with him
is what got TJ hooked into this "bird stuff" back
at the get-go. "Durn that bird !!! "

Y'all take care in this heat Have a good one !

Nana,
So good to her Bill is doing batter and I will be praying for you as they try and get you fixed up. I miss you being around with us but I know how life can get in the way.
Hopefully you wil be able to come back here often. Tell Bill and TJ hi.
Is TJ gonna be showing birds this fall?

What about this place? Good for buying feed or what?

I was thinking of taking a few chicks up to Joplin this weekend to a poultry swap up there.
I saw on here somewhere that there was a swap in ?Afton? maybe? If so, is it a good swap
to go to, where is it, and when does it start? Is there anyone to contact for information?
That would be about as close as Joplin for me. Thanks for any info.

Hey Monty,

If you aren't doing anything special on Saturday, July 9th at 11am there will be a public concert at OBU Raley Chapel. This will be what youth in Resonate have been working on during the week. It should be really good. I plan on bringing a group from our church.

What's working for you? I have something after mine & I think I am gettin a handle on them just using soapy water in a spray bottle.

When I go out to pick I do a three prong attack, bring me a small container of soapy water to drown the adults, and pick any eggs I see and squish or drown them, and squish the sub adults, and spray the base of the plant stems w/ tobacco tea.
