***OKIES in the BYC III ***

No way, something got in that pen.

I have chicks lots of breeds from $3 up to $30 depending on the breed. Up to about 4 weeks old. Most I can't sex yet. I will pm you later on the pc with a list, not doing that from my phone!

I have no hope until the fence is up.

How big do they get, do you know the breed?
I think Jack's ram is 200 lbs. and the ewes are 150 lbs. They are pretty tame. I don't know a lot about them even though I have had my hand up the back end of one of them to help with deliveries two times. That girl doesn't like me much.

Wanted: Some of Jack's blue girl's blue babies. If he just happens to send eggs to POOPS, let me know!

He is planning to come to POOPS.
I will have Blue Marans and Blue NNs too!
Maybe Nanakat will bring Blue Cochins too!

@mjgigax Don't worry, they are cute...but except for a baby silkie, (and a Rudy) I cant think of anything that is as cute as a baby mini horse!
Meanwhile, some new calf pictures to help us wait... This heifer does not have a name yet. She was born on the 6th. This red and white heifer was born on the 5th. Her name is Cinco D Mayo Cowgirl CPL.

This solid red heifer was calved on the 4th...she is a Big girl! (but has a big mamma that can handle it)

Then there is Spook - the blue calf. he is looking pretty manly already!

And, my gold heifer - Target, look at the little horns popping at just over a month old.

Then, finally, a bunch of head shots: Spook, of course. The camera had a hard time with exposure.

Unnamed month old bull calf with Spook. They're buds.

This brown heifer is only two months old. Her name is Moon Pie.
OMG! they are all so cute
Calves have the most soleful eyes.
I used to feed bottle calves for my Dad.

Is there any one with chicks for sale the reason I ask I have a customer that I gave eggs too and his daughter hatched and raised 10 months 36 pullets now one left . They found them all dead except the one pullet and she was all bloody but no wounds no visible way in the coop they swear it was locked so my ? is could this pullet go cannibal?

This is sad. Did they all die on the same night? Do we have weasels in oklahoma? Maybe a dumb question but I'm city folk

They do have beautiful eyes, just so hard to really see. One of the calves in the other pasture - a white one born late November....STILL has dark blue eyes. They are beautiful!

Yes, there are weasels in Oklahoma. I don't think I could see one weasel killing that many on one night, though. It seems more like a dog.

Yea I guess killing that many would mean more for sport than food. Yikes tho. The last one must be a lonely nervous wreck.

If they were torn up and scattered about it was probably canine, if there was a single bite to the base of the skull and neatly piled up it was either mink or weasel What it was doing was building a cashe to come back and feed on later. An opening as small as a quarter is all they need to get in.
